It's a little hazy what exactly happened after that but basically the robot schoolgirl proceeds to live a fairly mundane life, but then at the end she confronts the boy character again. The boy starts shouting at the robot girl, and then the robot girl shoves him down and sits on his chest-

-It was called (according to my auntie) "The Robot from the Sea"
It began with a very striking visual of some high school boy on a beach, witnessing a robot schoolgirl in a sailor fuku walking out of the ocean onto the shore, who had a very morose expression while doing so.

Anyway the main one that I remember that I've been spending so long trying to specifically trace to no avail was naturally the one that 🎃TRAUMATIZED 🎃 me, like it's probably weaksauce now but I remember it genuinely shook me to my core back then-

-A very by the numbers post-pokemon shonen type thing where everyone has battling companion robots, and the main boy has a dinky red robot from a junkyard who's naturally secretly cracked. I FEEL like it was the robopon/robot ponkottsu manga but what i read of that didnt match up at all?

the stories from it I remember were:
-Some gag manga with a giant robot crab. I think it was some kind of ultraman parody? The main villain was called Professor Poo and I found that mildly amusing
-Something with a very cartoony Y2K artstyle about a group of girls of some kind. Lots of nudity in it

My vague idea of the cover is that it had like this weird cutesy robot creature on it, one of the few english words on the cover said something about robots, naturally it was all in japanese so I had to get my auntie to translate it for me but she was kind of aghast at the contents of it

I'll draw out my memories of it later, basically when I was a kid living with one of my aunties (long story there) I had a big hyperfixation on robots at the time so he bought a robot-centric manga anthology from new york. He didn't vet it beforehand bc it absolutely was NOT child friendly lmao-
