What you’ll get: religion, politics, suspension pods, onions.

You sweat in your basement for years writing a book, working that nobody will ever read it - or that they will think you are a complete raving idiot, but then you read an astonishing, soul-warming, got-everything review like this and suddenly you feel like your whole life is not actually a waste.
I have a new review in @theguardian.com today, & contrived to write it in such a way they illustrated it with Mario Odyssey. Very happy. It's of C Thi Nguyen's new nonfiction The Score - an excellent game-related book that... well, just read the review:

If/when we finally get something like domestic robots, I wonder if companies like Disney will have an outsize role in figuring out how to make their appearance acceptable (something the various humanoid robot companies seem mediocre at)

Stunning footage from earlier today, when the new Kilauea eruption covered the USGS Webcam 3, which is situated in the Halemaʻumaʻu crater near the southern rim of the much larger Kilauea caldera.

This *isn't* what the people of Pompeii saw.

But it's not very far off.

On Windows, after installing the Intel drivers, the Bluetooth device may be recognized but fail to start with a code 10, STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE. The Wi-Fi may appear as "Network Adapter" in device manager with no drivers.

On Linux, incompatibility between a motherboard and a BE201 card may manifest in dmesg output as a failure to load firmware, iwlwifi-so-a0-fm-c0-89.ucode for Wi-Fi and ibt-1040-0291.sfi for Bluetooth.

If you've bought a Intel BE201 (AX411 AX211 AX203 AX101 AX201) M.2 card and nothing is working, the culprit may be "Connectivity Integrated (CNVi)". CNVi cards contain only the radio frequency (RF) chip and depends on the chipset and processor for the rest of the functionality.
