One of the easiest things we can do to help wildlife in cities is plant native plants. We’re going to make this as easy as possible for Philly people this winter/spring by giving them the seeds they need to start.

I need YOUR help prepping those seeds on Dec 17.

Women don't recognize only the overt hatred & abuse in Trump's actions--shoving his finger in the face of a female professional doing her job & calling her names--we also recognize the cowardice displayed by the other men in the room as they implicitly condone his behavior by saying nothing.

they don't know what to do because they think winning elections is their job. if they had substantive ideals that they fought for, and winning elections was merely an instrument for achieving those ends, they'd know exactly what to do. they don't even realize this is a problem.
give us a bit of time we've only had three months to prepare! it's not like Trump is a known quantity or that we were handed a complete roadmap for everything ahead in the form of a handy book of policy intentions they released like monologuing villains
“We’re obviously in a bit of disarray,” a Democratic senator told Semafor. “I don’t think people are really completely sure about what lesson is to be learned in this election.”

“Give us a little time,” Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin also said. “This is brand new.”

Some — if not much — of the problem we face today is in not believing Republicans are cruel — when they have been demonstrating in deeds and words otherwise for many years.
We literally do disagree about this, though. Some politicians want to take food from children and some politicians don't. Pretending this "isn't political" just allows the child-starving ghouls to get away with it.

Tell people who supports the *political program* to feed children and who doesn't!

Actually I’m gonna just say it: no one is entitled to RFK’s views. It is the job of a healthy liberal democracy to coerce people like RFK to act in the public’s interest by, for instance, getting their families vaccinated.
“Secretary Kennedy is entitled to his views. But he is not entitled to put people’s health at risk.”

Six former surgeons general condemn RFK Jr.
Opinion | Six surgeons general: RFK Jr. is a threat to the health of Americans
It was our duty in office to warn of dangers when we found them. We’re doing that again today.

Vote YES to retain the 3 Democratic judges on the PA Supreme Court who are up for reelection: Donohue, Dougherty, Wecht

This will maintain a Dem majority that we need to defend the state against Trump

What accounts on here are fun to follow, not overly political… but not in a centrist way, just in a “not my focus” way. My therapist says I gotta seek out non-politics online lol

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

When talking heads or politicians justify their decision-making by "If I say this if I do that, that will give the Right an excuse to abuse you even more"—they are telling you to your face that they take orders from your abusers. "Don't give them an excuse" is what you say to battered wives and kids

Saying - “I don’t think the President of the United States should turn the US military against US citizens” is not admitting crime is not a problem we need to work on. Trump has some of you so spooked you can’t just say a bad thing is a bad thing. And that’s dangerous and bad politics. Wake up.

The answer to real-life trolley problems? Return to your first instinct when confronted with a theoretical trolley problem, which is to break the premise.

You can't do that in the world of the theoretical. But you can in the real world. Can? Should. Should? Must.

Once you understand that a driving principle of American politics is there is no such thing as a compassionate solution that's cheap enough or a cruel solution that's too expensive, a lot of things click into place.
I think it's possible that Trump's illegal invasion of DC will really in some sense "get rid of the tents." If that happens, elite commentators will rush to praise him and attribute it to the effectiveness of cruelty, and not to the fact that they spent millions of dollars per tent cleared.
