It's that Most Wonderful Time of the Year! That's right, it's Girl Scout cookie season, and once again I'm here to provide you with a side-by-side comparison of the two Girl Scout bakeries. 🧵
This is indeed utter bullshit and it hurts people on the flip side too. Because I had some early facility for arithmetic, I was shoved into accelerated everything, burned out, and hounded with terrifying tales of how I was ruining my life despite never being taught how to study and hating it all
the degree to which we let early facility in one thing, arithmetic, be the gating function for exposure to a whole vast array of other things with essentially nothing whatsoever to do with early facility in arithmetic is wild to me, like this 19th century throwback idea hiding in plain sight
Funny story: my career in drones exists because I have a arithmetic learning disability, tested awfully in math and couldn’t study STEM in college, and became so angered by how normal it was to look down upon non-tech people in the 2010s that I decided to master a hard tech field out of pure spite.

It is absolutely outrageous that Moderna’s flu vaccine was met with a “refusal-to-file” even after their approved their protocol with FDA and carried out the trial as agreed. This vaccine works better in older adults than the current flu vaccines.

The proportion of women in my grandparents generation whose first name was Mary, technically, is like 60 to 75%. Some of them added their middle name for clarity, but many of them just went by another nickname they picked up in childhood. My great aunt Tottsie, for one.
Baffled by transphobes insisting that the name on your birth certificate is Your True Name Forever when it was common in my grandparents' generation to just...pick a name you like and use that, nbd. I literally found out both of my grandma's birth certificate first names FROM THEIR OBITUARIES.

This is troubling for multiple reasons, but one big one is companies won’t want to invest in R&D and clinical trials if they don’t think they can get a fair regulatory review—which is at the end of a long and extremely expensive process.

NEW: ICE has a plan to lease offices across the US as part of a secret, months-long expansion campaign.

Today, @wired.com is publishing dozens of those locations. Many are near schools, medical offices, and places of worship.

Vital work from @leahfeiger.bsky.social that I'm proud to publish.

Reflecting on this, I think everyone should have the experience of getting documented proof that yes, in fact your enemies are conspiring against you.
I hadn’t known this. Two men who were accused of sexual abuse on the Shitty Media Men document that I created back in 2017 reached out to Michael Wolff for help as they looked to sue me, and Wolf forwarded their concerns to Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein offered to help. www.jmail.world/thread/EFTA0...

i think this more than anything is what miller wants. vast detention camps with all of the suffering and death that means.
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...
