It’s insane that a tool like this a) exists and b) is useful.
Slop Evader is a tool from artist and researcher Tega Brain that lets you search the web for results exclusively before November 30, 2022—the day that ChatGPT was released to the public.

Good morning, while everyone is waiting for the budget to be announced it’s a good time to say that immigration is a source of prosperity for the UK and painting Britain as a hostile state is sabotaging the country. Thanks!

Honestly I fucking loathe the whole idea of "EdTech"

Pushers of technology into education couldn't give a flying fuck about students, educators, education itself, or any of their other so-called "use cases".

They care ONLY about profits. I really wish our execs could perceive this blinding light 😡

'Backs our young people' by destroying a sector which brings in billions? If some universities disappear, the knock-on effect in their local areas will be devastating. Does the gov'ment even recognise that foreign students pay for UK students? And why are their numbers in the immigration figures?

Always the way, isn't it? Graduate from top uni says other people shouldn't aspire to go to university.

The Prime Minister's target – two thirds of young people getting a degree or an apprenticeship – is the right one. Only Labour backs our young people.

Dave watched this government Education Committee meeting so you didn’t have to. But you do have to read his summary (if you have any interest in the future of HE)
"A system built on specialisation, efficiency", that right there is the death knell for the current university system in the UK, if (big if) government pushes it through. They actively don't want HE to grow, they will intervene, apparently, to help it shrink.

per this morning's education committee.

Community engagement that you subsequently ignore is worse than no community engagement at all
When Streeting dismisses parents who support their trans kids whilst positively engaging with those who recommend and use conversion practices on their kids and who are oftentimes estranged from their kids; or the kids say their parent’s behaviour left them suicidal, you have to ask,why is he such a
