The current regime took a week to abolish USAID, which is three times as old and was not in the news every day for brutalizing children
“We cannot just abolish ICE!”

Bestie, you are older than ICE.

Props to everyone at NBC forced to edit the Opening Ceremony in the name of… oh let’s call it “political correctness”…for making it *hilariously obvious* that you’d done so. I see you and I appreciate your efforts. We all do what we can.

Malicious compliance may be one of our most powerful weapons.

The IOC, pushing their way through 23,000 flags in the giant sporting event used to show the athletic prowess of empires for more than a century while screens show the number of medals per country: Hey, no politics.
I cannot sufficiently underline how despicable it is that the IOC has required Haitian Olympic athletes to remove an image representing the leader of the Haitian Revolution (against SLAVERY) from their uniforms.

It feels worth saying that the thing that unifies men as disparate as Noam Chomsky, Deepak Chopra and Trump is patriarchy. Patriarchy, hatred of women, and the need to dominate them, persists across race and class status. Left movements refuse a robust analysis of persisting gender violence.

Abolish ICE *and* Schumer
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

But yeah, people who made art I loved & who turned out to be NOT what I thought they were--it's hard. What we can all do is make sure that those who are being hurt have the safety to come forward on their own terms. We can wrench our attention away from the abuser or enabler & help those who need it

Kat locking on to the jugular as usual. Imagine being rich enough to be Batman a hundred times over and the best you can do is decline an invitation to the child torture island.
Even in Elon Musk’s denial of his involvement with Epstein—which directly contradicts the available evidence—the world’s richest man is still claiming he knew all about “pedo island” and didn’t do anything to stop it. Even in their fantasies of innocence they’re still directly enabling child abuse
