The president is about to start a war for no real reason. All of the things he has blamed on the country he’s targeting — fentanyl distribution, “emptying the asylums” and sending patients to the U.S., alignment with Tren de Aragua— are provably, obviously false.

Lots of people are going to die.

You're not seeing the defense and international conflict experts disagreeing because if the facts are true, it's one of the most basic things in the law of armed conflict: You cannot kill people who are "hors de combat," taken out of the game by injury or attack. This is Geneva 101 stuff.
I follower a few defense experts.

Seeing them all straight-up declare this a war crime without any him-and-hawing is uhm

Disconcerting.

Pete Hegseth must resign, as does Stephen Miller. Donald Trump should be subpoenaed before Congress to answer for HIS policy.

I just could not be more fundamentally opposite of a person than I am of Miller.

My kids went to an elementary with a lot of immigrants. These kids wear Spiderman shirts and Mahomes jerseys. They're as American as anyone. This guy is a sheltered, miserable bigot unable to see past his own door.
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

The casino stuff at the end is fake. This guy is awful enough, I don't know why people feel the need to make up stuff.
When the strongest argument for your policy is a list of lies (I count 7) and exaggerations (another 5), you reveal more than a wonky list of truths ever would.

I feel much safer today knowing that we deported a Babson College student back to a country where she hasn't lived since childhood.

She wasn't even flying internationally. She was flying to Texas.

Crazy but seemingly true!
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

Trump's "muscular" trade policy has left the U.S begging China to buy our agricultural products - and begging China to sell the U.S. rare earth minerals. Meanwhile, inflation is crushing U.S. consumers. Great job Donald!
CNBC: My understanding is the White House said that China was gonna buy 12 million tons of soybeans from the US by January. That's approaching and they've only purchased 332,000. China has not confirmed that pledge.

This is a great observation. I would add TV sitcoms to the list of things that portrayed a non-existent world that many long for.

Trump is giving illegal orders. It's not debatable. There is no justification for blowing fishing boats out of the water in the Caribbean on suspicion of drug smuggling. It's cold-blooded murder. Not war, not policing, murder.
The correct answer to MAGA outrage over the Dem video is this: Are you effing kidding me? Of course it's reasonable to warn that Trump might be giving illegal orders.

The evidence is strong that he actually is giving illegal orders! I went through that evidence here:

From the boat bombings to deportations to prosecutions, the evidence mounts. And the speaker of the House could get to the bottom of it if he wanted to. Yeah, right.

They were right to question Biden's acuity. They are wrong to do so little to scrutinize Trump's. Simple as that.
Breaking character: I am open to the idea the media's coverage of Biden's age and mental acuity was fair or perhaps not even tough enough. But the fact that it was so much tougher than the coverage of Trump's (more severe) mental decline is damning and I can't see how anyone could argue otherwise.
