I disagree that the Washington Post is about corporate profits; Bezos bought it to have a hand on the tiller of the news narrative.

He bought it so he gets to tell us what to believe. He’s getting rid of the parts of the paper that don’t play to his needs. Sports? No use to him.
Everything important about journalism is unmeasurable. The vapidity of these buffoons and their salads of words. Everything is 'extraordinary,' 'essential' and empty of values, the only 'success' is corporate profits
Jeff Bezos' statement, his first since last week's layoffs: "The Post has an essential journalistic mission and an extraordinary opportunity. Each and every day our readers give us a roadmap to success. The data tells us what is valuable and where to focus."

My final points on Reform breaking electoral law, they don’t care because nobody will hold them accountable.

But if there were any justice in the world, as unlikely as it is in today’s environment, they’d learn that it’s the cover-up that fucks you.

This sort of thing:
The printers are can't be telling the truth. The imprint wasn’t trimmed off. It wasn’t on the proof. If it was, the letter would be shorter, or the imprint was outside the print area. It’s a cover-up.

This is what happened in 5 posts:

incredible that this isn't a bit

Anyone who knows anything about printing knows the Reform defence of “it was the printers who screwed up” is blatant bollocks. There’s a proofing phase where this would have been caught.

But, as is usual these days, the people who should be pointing this out won’t because they support Farage.
Reform UK are seeking to fob off blame for their illegal leaflet on a printer error. That won’t stand up with the police - responsibility for making sure the law is followed lies with the party commissioning and distributing the leaflets.

This is a political piece, but it has lessons for all writers in how to craft a story that really lands with readers. The focus, the intelligence and the skill stand out a mile in the current pathetic crop of writing on Reform.

Every time I read something like “Wizards of the Coast, which is behind the D&D game franchise,” it makes me laugh. All I can think of is TSR’s “Spellfire” booth at GenCon ‘94 when we were selling Magic. Oh boy.

Anyway, this looks like something to keep an eye on.

So the exact thing I said would happen.

1) Send ICE to "monitor and protect voting"
2) Let ICE be ICE and start crushing skulls
3) polling locations close due to safety concerns
4) election day ends with strategic districts reporting few ballots
5) stay in power forever

There's probably a load of other rotters in there who helped keep him in a job, too.

If anyone were to be caught leaking this shit, and we were told to guess which cabinet member it was, Mandelson would have been at the top of everyone’s list.

Every time he got back in power, we all asked “what does he have, and on whom?”
I think everyone knew just fine that Peter was a real piece of work, and they have certainly known he was mobbed up with Epstein since mid-2019. The lads wouldn’t have known the exact details but come on, I think we could guess, couldn’t we.

This is an excellent example of marketing your game while helping out a magazine, a true non-zero sum, win/win scenario.

It’s a lot harder than when we did it in the 90s, but you can still try today.

Here’s the secret: magazines need content and you need publicity. Give them a cover and content.
It arrived! It's still so unreal for me.

I worked at GW in ’87 as a Mail-Order Troll and this stuff, along with the Ian Miller art was beloved in the company. Back then, 40k was more loosely “Dune and political satire” than the well-described and consistent design behemoth it is forty years on.
Games Workshop: You get those drawings of the heroes of our brand new toy range?

Will Rees: Sure did boss, real fuckin disgusting just like you asked.

In honour of Melania, here's a reminder that the thing Kane is applauding in this popular gif isn't good. It's very bad! It's his wife singing poorly in an opera he paid for.

I just watched @neevesy33.bsky.social’s Triumph Trident 800 review and, like the Tiger Sport 800, I started wondering if I needed one.

Of course I don’t, as I have a 765RS and a 748 in the shed, but well done Triumph for looking tempting. Shame about the dash, though.
