Not the hero of the story, not a main character, just that guy in a Roland Emmerich film who looks up.

As you’re preparing for your Thanksgiving meal, remember the skilled work it took to get that food to your grocery store.

Tell us your favorite Thanksgiving dish, and we can share some of what we know about the work behind the ingredients.

People like Ka$h Patel love when something like our National Guard members are shot because it gives them another chance to get free publicity on TV.
Jeanine Pirro and Kash Patel seem to think Job 1 after the National Guard shooting is to take cheap shots at Joe Biden.

You know who hasn’t cowered in the face of terrible violence and changed what they believe?

Minnesota Democrats, who saw one of their own actually get gunned down by a pro-Trump lunatic.

These people are cowards.

His fear of speaking out is much more personal: ‘I’d rather my house not get firebombed’”

HAVE!

I will colour this page.
Cassian said I had to....

Over 60 illustrations and designs including some nice hand drawn pictures of Rogue One characters.

I'll be scanning most of it so I can practice my digital colouring.

I feel much safer today knowing that we deported a Babson College student back to a country where she hasn't lived since childhood.

She wasn't even flying internationally. She was flying to Texas.

Any Lucia Lopez Belloza was at Logan to catch a flight to Texas when immigration authorities detained her as she was about to board the plane.

When MAGA commits a terrorist attack like Jan 6, Trump celebrates the MAGA terrorists as "patriots" and then pardons them. To Trump, MAGA terrorism in service of his agenda is good. Remember that as you watch him now pretend to care about terrorism.

I would recommend for my fellow Americans that instead of being angry at people angry at us for our colossal failures to support basic human dignity you instead channel that anger at the people and our government that have created this colossal failure in the first place.
Literally traumatized for life out here defending my right to have emotions in front of some painfully ignorant Americans whose entire internal monologue is “me me me what about me how will this affect me, my feelings are hurt, im scared of words and images me me”

Russian infiltration of the GOP has without question been the greatest intelligence victory in history. It's literally the only thing keeping the Russian government from collapse.
Russians are literally writing US foreign policy, they have more power projection in DC than in Kyiv LMAO

Part of the problem is people think what persuades them is logic and facts.

In reality, most people's opinions are shaped primarily what they perceive to be the views of the community they're in.

So if you hang out with Nazis all day, it starts to feel "normal."
This is the correct take. Stewing in white supremacist propaganda is bad for your thinking. And if think you are so savvy that it won’t impact you, you are the exact kind of mark they are slowly converting (I’m looking at you, centrist pundits).
It’s really funny how a generation will roll its eyes at parents who watch Fox News but doesn’t see why being immersed in Twitter is having the same effect. Lots of serious people show up on Fox News too but that shouldn’t be your primary source on the news.

Morale of the story, to me at least: true skill transcends tools. And with enough skill anything can be the golden hammer in your hands.

Dear foreign nationals in war-torn countries, terrorism hot-spots, and amidst our enemies:

If you help the United States, we’ll fuck you over and abandon you. Not the individual servicepeople or intelligence officers — they’ll fight for you. I mean the depraved, soulless leadership of the nation.
So now they’re going to be doing individualized re-review of tens of thousands of Afghan evacuees’ cases on TOP of the re-review of 200,000+ refugees who entered under Biden?

Trump is one of those guys whose will is probably just "bury me with all of my stuff in a giant mausoleum". A man so narcissistic he can't fathom a world without him is forced to grapple with the idea of a legacy.

I hope that this doesn't just become about "Nuzzi is bad" but fosters a wider recognition that our culture of political journalism that didn't just tolerate her, but promoted and celebrated her even after the allegations were known, is rotten to the core and has been for a long time.
this was bad before, but these are the most troubling and serious allegations you can make about a journalist. if they’re true, i genuinely can’t think of a worse scandal in the history of political journalism. devastating to our industry, to public trust as a whole, and to everyone in its orbit
