I think the big one is islamophobia.

In the older generation, the idea is Israel is besieged on all sides by aggressive neighbors waiting to invade a la the Six Day War.

In the younger generation, 9/11 drove the idea that the common “they” for Israel and America was Islam, and so Arab people.

It’s also worth noting here that Catholics, including Irish and Italians were only barely included in “whiteness” here, so including them feels here while as proof of white innocence while the white elite were clearly drinking the Kool Aid feels iffy

There needs to be more coverage of this in the news. I have read so many stories bout this on Facebook, first hand stories of the terror of that storm, and very little coverage n media.

“Autism” is a catchall for various neurological/information
processing conditions.

It’s like cancer: surface similar presentations but different causes and processes.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.

At least 20 are missing. No comment from any federal agency.

Electric is shut off. I can’t cook, do laundry not charge my phone inside (I’ve been charging it in my car). We don’t have much food except things to make PB and Js and oranges. Can’t even use heat because it’s off so 🙃 really feel hopeless right now and embarrassed so any help would really be great

I had help previously but it wasn't working out and l've had to do a lot of it on my own, now I'm stuck in a situation where working isn't possible for my health and while I'm already caretaking for my disabled child that needs constant care. I did not ever envision this happening to me and have always worked hard to take care of my family but now I'm in what feels like an impossible situation trying my best to take care of my kids and myself so I can stay around for them as long as possible. Im not enjoying coming online asking for help but I have no where else to turn. I'm doing
