That does make a lot of sense. Just being accountable to someone helps add some weight to the work. I've used editors to help me proxy this, but this does feel a bit more substantial now...

My favorite inktober drawings this year are by an artist on IG named Miguel H Dibuja called MOOTANTXTOBER
You should all go have a look.

It's like James Harren and Javier Hergue had a baby...

I try not to think too hard about SWEU, that's why they had to nuke it from outer space. Too many nerds trying to make a buck off that licensed fanfiction. On the other hand, it gave this Man or Astroman sound bite. Apparently Kligson survived the canon wiping, there's some nerd who remembers. :V

Gaza Palestinians not Gazans. West Bank Palestinians not West Bankers. Palestinians with Israeli citizenship, not Israeli Arabs.

Decolonize your language.

Say Palestine. Say Palestinians.

I frequently say you don't need to protest. You don't! There are a thousand other ways to push back on fascism if protesting doesn't feel comfortable or safe for you!

But if you CAN go, this 10/18 #NoKings thing is really a key protest to participate in. Be part of it, friends.

NO KINGS, y'all! October 18! Find a rally near you and GO!

Taylor is sitting on Travis’s shoulder. His football uniform has many pouches for some reason. Taylor has on a black tank top, pink tights and fuchsia Doc Martens. She’s holding the microphone over her head, causing her back to arch in an unnatural fashion. There is a sword involved.

Some yokai thoughts from my Japan trip this summer

I think when I was younger, I needed to prove something to myself, and now that I'm older, that's no longer in my head, to do it all myself. I want more stories.

If I could hire more and expand story offerings, I would do it in a heartbeat. I want higher volumes of story, not less

I've been able to maintain a seamless flow of work thanks to art assists from my friend Wai, and that's been going strong for a few years. All of us, clients and studio, are happy that it works

These days I don’t have to take jobs where I can’t comfortably hit the deadline, so I haven’t had to deploy many tricks. But hiring assistants has always worked well. I know a lot of terrific artists and I’ve learned how to incorporate what they do into what I do pretty seamlessly.

NGL, delegating work with art can be confounding. But coming up as an assistant to a pro artist is invaluable experience, it helps the artist make the deadline/keep work coming, and it leapfrogs the assistant through skills, it's a win-win.

Mad Stan from Batman Beyond was always a favorite of mine. An anti capitalist, eat the rich type who wanted to blow up the tech used by the rich to exploit the poor…loved his dog and grew more powerful the longer you’d let him rant. Like, this is his time to shine. Voiced by Henry Rollins…perfect.
Angry looking buff guy saying “blow it all up!”
