Chuck Schumer should be focused on fighting Donald Trump and protecting healthcare for millions of Americans, not meddling in a Maine primary.

DC's choice has lost to Susan Collins five times in a row. We can't afford a sixth.

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year
We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

NEW: Maine Democrat Dan Kleban suspends his Senate campaign & endorses Janet Mills the same day she launches her campaign.

Also comes as the DSCC files a joint fundraising committee with Mills.

Consolidation happening around Mills, who would be 79 if elected to the 6-year-term.
Dan Kleban Suspends Senate Campaign,
Endorses Gov. Mills for Senate

“I Got Into This Race for the Same Reason I Started Maine Beer Company—to ‘Do What’s Right’”

“Governor Mills is the Right Leader for this Moment and is in the Best Position to Win”
Cumberland, ME — Dan Kleban, founder of Maine Beer Company and U.S. Senate candidate, released the following statement today:

“Today, I am suspending my campaign for U.S. Senate and enthusiastically endorsing Governor Janet Mills.

“Right now, our country is at a crossroads. Susan Collins is not doing what’s right for the state of Maine, and hardworking Mainers are literally paying the price—housing, health care, groceries, and electric bills are all too high and getting worse. I believe Governor Mills will win next year and put Mainers first by addressing these pressing issues.

“I got into this race for the same reason I started Maine Beer Company—to ‘Do What’s Right.’ That motto has guided me in business and is why we paid a living wage from Day One, cover 100% of health care costs and provide retirement benefits for our full-time employees, and share our success with the community. We’ve taken action on climate and environmental sustainability, giving 1% of our sales to nonprofits addressing climate change, promoting conservation, and integrating clean energy practices into our business. People thought we were crazy, but we proved we could build a company that’s a force for good.

“These core values also guided me in this campaign. I entered this race because I believe Washington needs more leaders who put people before politics and who will fight every day to make life better for Maine families. While our message was right, the timing isn’t. Governor Mills is the right leader for this moment and is in the best position to win.

“I’m not a politician. I’m a guy who loves his family and was blessed to start a business in the state that gave me so much. This isn’t the end of my fight. Maine has given me so much, an…

"Mamdani told me he understands that his success or failure will not be seen as only his own. He is right."

This is true but also tells on itself because The Discourse Gatekeepers do not declare centrism dead because Eric Adams proved to be an incompetent buffoon crook. It only goes one way!

I’ve been sitting with this the last few hours. It’s really hitting me just how fucking depraved you have to be to respond to an inquiry about an abducted child with a screenshot of a post on elon musk’s hellsite smearing this kid who has no ability to defend himself. It’s unfathomable.

Musicians are starting to speak out finally about ICE a little bit. Chapell Roan did the same the other night.

Very disappointed in how business as usual athletes are right now

This is the message ahead of #NoKings day, and if your local politicians aren't preaching it, well... they better start. Or maybe they'll end up like Cuomo.

There's a reasons all our stories of horrible raids and abductions come mostly from Chicago and, now, Portland.

Bc, due to Federalism, the Feds simply lack man-power to deploy police-state tactics widely.

The article has ~10,000 new Fed LEOs being deployed for "immigration." US has ~650,000 cops.

In twelve days, New Yorkers will begin to cast their ballots and face a stark choice.

A choice between democracy and oligarchy. Between a city you can afford or more of the same. Between the hope of a brighter future or a broken past.

We will choose the future.

He actually doesn’t deserve any credit for anything. He would literally never do this for a Democrat on anything. He won’t even praise his only real accomplishment in Operation Warp Speed.

A time of joy to finally see 20 hostages reunited with their families and the attacks on Gaza halted. Trump deserves great credit for what happened today and great blame that it did not happen until now. (1/2)
