This was how I started pulling myself out of that self-critical hole I was stuck in during that time in my life where academic stress made me almost have a nervous breakdown. It’s a neverending process & requires consistency, but if you keep at it, each year you’ll find yourself feeling better.

That *is* something. Media literacy is an important skill to have, especially in this day and age, when people on YouTube can’t seem to tell the difference between an actual analytical essay where you process what you just consumed vs. reciting the events of a story’s plot like a book report.

They write them to later be used as a source/evidence for legal filings. The point of these stories is attack trans rights via courts. They dont need to care about the public; they write it FOR heritage foundation lawyers. Wouldn’t surprise me if those lawyers know about these pieces ahead of time.

It matters who is included and what kind of protection we call for. Putting “Protect the Dolls” on a shirt does something different than “Protect Trans Kids” or “Transition On Demand” or the entire text of the communist manifesto. It contributes to the capacitation and celeb-ification of transness. But I don’t just want a world in which there are more trans celebrities, even if I get to be one. I want a world in which trans people – all trans people – are safe and free.
