Like you/we completely inverted an *entrenched* paradigm in this state in a matter of weeks or months.

Why go to the county or nonprofit to apply to get housing or food support when you could get faster, more dignified, more useful assistance directly from your neighbors?!

It took 12 years but Instagram has FINALLY figured out I'm gay, showing me ad after ad of binders (the kinds transmasc people use, not the paper holders). This is an objective improvement over the 4+ years of "oh you have endo have you tried (totally not quackery fertility treatment)?"

Si l'extrême-droite passe, on aura pire que ICE, car les contre-pouvoirs sont encore plus faibles en France qu'aux Etats-Unis et la police y est au moins autant si ce n'est plus vérolée par le racisme.

Remembering when one of my respected uni professors in my dept told me to shut up about professors raping their students because, in their opinion, "girls who sleep with" their older professors do so to improve their grades and should live with their "buyer's remorse" after.

Wonder how many famous CanLit authors are in the Epstein Files.

I know Lawrence Krauss (physicist) is in the files and is Canadian. Do we have a list yet of other major Canadian universitaires, politicians, and other public figures that figure in the Epstein files?

So an odd thing here is that if you say "an unidentified man dressed in a Batman costume" your point is to communicate "it is not really Batman" but the problem is that the real Batman, within the fiction of the comic book "Batman", is also, literally, an unidentified man dressed in a Batman costume

If the data from the Canadian census (which collects info about transness) is representative of the proportion of the population that is trans in the UK, that’s an overrepresentation by a factor of about 24.

This means that 🇬🇧 trans kids are 24x more likely to end up dead by suicide than cis kids.
Between April 2019 and March 2025, 107 of the 647 children who died by suicide in England were LGBTQ+.

Forty-six of these children were trans – seven per cent of all children who died by suicide.

These kinds of job postings have become super normalized in content/copy editing and in translation in the past three-four years, btw.

Glad y'all think it's as unhinged as I do.
