Today is the birthday of cartoonist & illustrator Alex Raymond (Oct. 2, 1909-Sept. 6, 1956). He is most known as the creator of the comic strip Flash Gordon, but he also created or cocreated the comic strips Secret Agent X-9, Jungle Jim, and Rip Kirby.

'Poor' people are not a great customer base... try playing Monopoly with no funny money if you don't believe me. Regular folks may not have 'fuck you money' but we still have spending power which when it's consolidated can be a very loud 'FUCK YOU!' ...that one was for you too.

The CEO's, execs and what-not standing up to Trump don't necessarily do it because its the 'right thing to do' they do it because they know he's bad for business and so are his policies. He has a proven track record of being exceptionally bad at business.

Nexstar could literally blackout all of their programming locally and in the long run all it would do is increase their earnings from people signing up for HULU. 'Conservatives' can foam at the mouth all they want but they've shown that their boycotts never pan out the way they think they will.

It's not about expecting corporations to be 'good' this move is financial malpractice. It's never smart to let ANYONE outside of your organization dictate how you run your business. Disney/ABC has more than enough leverage to push back on Nexstar because of their streaming platforms.
