So the guy down the street replaced a shift sensor but the car still will not operate in reverse so I need to start raising funds for either someone to assess the transmission in my 20 year old car or to put toward a new car. 😔🫠😩😭

Got my car stuck in the snow and fucked up either the shift connector or the transmission and it’s gonna become a cascade if I can’t raise the funds for the repair.

I keep wondering how many other folk who desperately want to do things to help folk are being held back by treatable illness & poverty.
If we were all doing good we'd all be doing way better than we can currently imagine. Poverty is being done to us & not just hurting the impoverished.

I didnt realize it wasnt obvious until a couple DMs, but folks who need mutual aid to survive ask for gift cards or wishlist items bc:
- low chance of affecting benefits negatively
- can get wants & needs without pulling from desperate survival fund
- alleviates spending while struggling guilt

I’ve had a simmer pot simmering for about 90 minutes and it’s brought the humidity up in here from a very dry 20% to over 25% so far. Feels and smells amazing in here.

I am not saying this for shits and giggles: the internet you enjoy exists in part because of Trudy. Especially her scholarship on misogynoir and parasocial relationships. I sincerely believe the landscape doesn’t exist without her. Flowers aside, she is a human who needs care and support.
