The urge to remake this entire list but make it maddeningly clear that I have only played Before The Flood for 26 years (it just came iut so that's impossible, but I wish it were true. Imagine the many tragedies, the world's lost to time and heartbreak)
an interesting roundup, in that I disagree with almost every single ranking for almost every single game on the list.
very funny though to realize the only game on the list to crest the 7.5 mark for combat is the only one cribbing from 4e dnd's homework. lol

We frequently call games "Certified Weavy" if they feel like they play nice when connected to other games. Maybe we should make a stamp to send to devs
Every year around this time I get a lot of folks saying "how did such and such game not even get into The Game Awards" or "so and so deserves an award" (and similarly in the other end of the year around Ennies season for tabletop) and I am here to say:

The important thing to know about The Bowerborn Gods is that they are more human than they are god. They are born and become themselves if they’re allowed to, not made as they were meant to be. They hold no special ability beyond their domain. A Bowerborn may be among us and we haven’t noticed.

Audience culture is the worst it's ever been, I swear to god. People forgot how to act. I'm at the theater, trying to enjoy my show, which I've paid GOOD MONEY for, and these two old assholes are in the balcony heckling the life out of the poor bear onstage. Not letting him finish a single joke.
