I relistened to Shaun’s video about the decision to drop the Atomic Bombs, and one thing that hit me was him talking about how Japanese leadership hadn’t had nukes dropped on them, peasants had. The plan was for the populace to die anyway, they just weren’t dying in useful ways.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, breaking down our main factions into smaller constituencies. Because I want us to deal with populations and peoples in addition to organizations and nascent states as we move into a popular uprising.

I think my least favorite thing about musical theater is that the public consciousness only has space for one musical at a time, so I mostly have to hear about Wicked or Hamilton and not like Waitress or Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder.

Not to construct a house of hypotheticals, but if men could get their shit in order enough that women could trust not to be assaulted for doing this, and if said men could be trusted to self-reflect and get better at sex by holding themselves and each other accountable, ‘male loneliness’ would end.

Restating my opinion that 99% of Protest Discourse is because people don't know there are two broadly different kinds of protest (rallies and direct action) and they have different requirements to be effective (and "don't be cringe" is not a requirement for either, actually)
