Seeing the outpouring of love for Tom Stoppard today and I don't think I've ever seen one of his plays. Glad I can now rectify that.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (1990) is on YouTube.

Gary Oldman and Tim Roth star in Tom Stoppard's big screen adaptation of his own stage play, itself a play on Shakespeare's Hamlet.

"It's arguably most productive to view public action against an oppressive force specifically as a game — not as a trifle, but as a series of moves with an end state."

Contributor @therisingtithes.bsky.social connects RPG prep with the increasingly vital labor of public protest.

This was a real 90's knock-off of a knock-off movie. Not quite Blade Runner or Terminator or Alien and a budget of approximately $12 USD.

But do yourself a favour and look up all the poster and box art for Split Second. Best thing about it.

Split Second (1992)
In a flooded future London, Detective Harley Stone hunts a serial killer who murdered his partner and has haunted him ever since — but he soon discovers what he is hunting might not be human.

Great coverage of #Over/Under. It looked like a lot of fun, but I spent my time in the Far Verona and Blaseball discord servers. Saw the same bleed and effect on people. Folks getting upset, folks losing sleep, folks getting burnt out. It's fun but it can be A Lot.
"Players reported dreaming about Over/Under, losing sleep, even forgetting to eat."

@lincodega.com writes about the intensity of Mothership Month's hyperbaric roleplay experience and the bleed that resulted from a lack of conventional safety tools.
Thirty Days of Bleed
Within a high-pressure, nonstop roleplaying game, denizens of Over/Under found it difficult to extricate their character’s emotions from their own.

In Card Drives those can become game pieces, adware cards that can be modified into powerful drives, and can inspire your own suits and new programs!

Aim high, folks.

Imagine this was the song that played after the heroes each confronted their abusive mentor, sealed the demon tyrant behind a golden barrier, and became allied with the persecuted and dispossessed rather than... well...
Okay, the crowd going nuts like someone just scored a touchdown at the Super Bowl all *through* the KDH performance is a hell of a thing to see hear/see:

I'm old.

If you're not, listen to this.

Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

There are several hazards in CARD DRIVES, like ICE.

ICE cards have no suit, no value, and can't be modded. They clog up your deck and if you ever have 3 or more in hand, you flatline.
