If you don't mind moth-eaten animal parts. They'll work great and will last a lifetime but she's not about aesthetics. If you're rude, she will take your eyes and swap them for one of her glass-eyed mounts

She wields a magic needle and thread that can grant life and animation to dead things after she sews them together. If you show her an animal she hasn't seen yet, she'll gift you a janky beast. If you have limbs that are missing or don't work, she'll give you new ones.

Baba Yaugust 25. Taxidermist. (Like last year, Baba Yaugust seems to be lasting far past August but I'm determined to complete it.) This Yaga flies on her winged alligator with her fox-headed vulture on her shoulder. Her eyes are the glass eyes of animals, in this case, a goat and a tiger.

The second one was a French anime called Arco about a time-traveling little boy who visits a girl from our not-too-distant future. I wasn't 'all in' on the character design but it was a really good story.

I think the Candy doc will be on Prime and I think the Arco animation will be on Netflix.

Day two of Vancouver Film Fest. I'm four for four here! Very lucky.

The first one was the Colin Hanks John Candy documentary I Like Me. Hooboy. I cried during the opening credits and kept on leaking. Bring your tissues. I also laughed my head off, too. Do seek it out.

It's a kitschy gimmick, I know, but i was thrilled to finally try one of the novelty caesars at @scoreondavie downtown when I happened to be in the neighborhood for the first time in a long time. High quality onion rings, tasty cheeseburger and a great caesar. And this is one of the SMALL ones!

Had a FANTASTIC and affordable-for-what-you-get three-course French cuisine meal at the always amazing @absinthebistro last night on Commercial here in Vancouver. Highly recommended. It's a rotating menu and everything's great.
