Please stop using language that suggests that people with criminal records are appropriate targets for this administration's violence. One in three adults has a criminal record. Stop playing sacrifice games with fascists. Stop surrendering entire categories of people in your own mind.

Alice Wong taught us that disabled people don’t just leave memories behind—they leave infrastructure. Lineages of care. Methods of collectivity, survival. She named the connective tissue that holds our communities together, even across death, even across the losses that come too fast and too often.

“Gen Z has the lowest racial resentment of any generation ever studied.”

Important work from @jakemgrumbach.bsky.social that offers a clear explanation of why there is an intense push to change school curricula to make them more white supremacist

The Shocking Truth About Gen Z Voters Is That They’re Pretty Great
Stop panicking: They are the most progressive generation ever, especially on race. If that surprises you, you’ve been listening to the wrong story.

Why woke opinion is that food, water, shelter, healthcare, & education, should be free for all.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Just read a post that started with, "In times like these it's important to remember Hitler was a dog lover..."

I don't know where the post was going. I barely have my feet on terra firm these days. I'm not awake yet.

In times like these it's typical to wake up to the absurd and inexplicable.

Bluesky adopting a "we will ban anyone who is mean to pedophiles" moderation posture is confusing until you remember it was started by a bunch of tech libertarians as a haven for Ai cultists and crypto guys.

I need folks to know. We are not in daylights saving time right now. DST ENDS in November, it starts in March.

What we are experiencing is life WITHOUT daylight savings time. Which EYE personally love. Because

the night time is the RIGHT time. lol
This daylight savings time got me weary down to my spirit man 😭😭😭

"He never treated me bad or did anything bad to me."
The NYT doesn't. And I worked at a paper where the owner tried to do that and I nearly got fired many times because we didn't, but good newsrooms push back.

As it has always done, capitalism does just this: it makes a tiny number of people rich by converting something of incalculable and irreplaceable value into a wasteland.

Since Sarah Kendzior’s account has been restored for a “death threat”- I’m wondering why Link’s hasn’t… does Bluesky take alleged threats against their CEO more seriously than ones against other people? Will Patton Oswalt also have a full account ban?

I’ve said this before, but a huge function of our carceral system is resource extraction from exploited communities, and that includes the fees, commissary, and essentials people send to their loved ones, not to mention the time, attention, energy, etc.

Thing is, I am way less concerned about "sides" and party lines than I am about principles and having principled people in leadership. If the Epstein list takes down criminal sex offending Democrats, then good. Get rid of ALL of the pedos and rapists and sex traffickers, party be damned.
"This could take down Democrats, too."

I know. And I frankly wouldn't give even an itty bitty damn if it implicated every Democratic man in Congress, every Democratic hopeful for 2028 and every Democrat who has even thought about running for office.

Down with the sex predators, wherever they are.

Many of us who were labeled "doomers" were not in fact doomers.

We KNOW we know what to do. We KNOW we can do it. We KNOW we still have time.

But we aren't. We aren't doing it.
& we aren't allowed to point this out & we sure as shit aren't allowed to talk about it.
Despite all we know, global carbon emissions continue to rise. How is it possible that we're *still* accelerating towards climate and ecological collapse?

An economic system called capitalism that only survives by killing its host: us and our biosphere home.

Global fossil fuel emissions to hit new record - study
Global fossil fuel emissions are set to hit a new high in 2025, according to research that also warns curbing warming under 1.5C would now be essentially "impossible".

One of the reasons I have massive beef with the so called "climate movement".

RIDDLED with grifters & scolds.
When I started to criticize wild promises for carbon dioxide capture & removal in 2022, I took *so much shit* from the energy modelers and journalists promoting it, but those same people are silent now that even the scientists who first imagined the tech are increasingly mounting the same criticism.

I'm not gonna have hope for this country until I see more people SEE & UNDERSTAND that the DEMOCRATS ARE COMPLICIT.

We have not seen the Epstein files because DEMS ARE IN THEM TOO.

This is a BIPARTISAN ISSUE.
