Netflix has swooped in and rescued "Sesame Street," and the deal is better than the one previously inked with Warner Bros and Max: Moving forward, new episodes of the show will be made available immediately on PBS, instead of being delayed by several months.

Netflix gets worldwide streaming rights to "Sesame Street"

The deal also involves new Sesame Street-themed games.

HBO to no longer air new episodes of 'Sesame Street' on Max

'Sesame Street' has lost its home since 2016 on HBO, as the streamer announces that Max will no longer carry new episodes of the children's program, though will house its library through 2027.
