This is my favorite line from Judge Breyer's ruling today:

"Yet it is also a core right of the people to be able to gather in protest of their government and its policies—even when doing so is provocative, and even when doing so causes inconvenience."

Good luck getting any money out of the Trump Administration, especially since Washington is a blue state & the governor is a Democrat. Besides, does FEMA even exist anymore?
Earlier today, I signed an emergency declaration in response to intense flooding.

Now, it's important we get an expedited emergency declaration from the federal government so we can access protective measures and additional federal resources. That will be key.

WOW. So this is obviously a huge violation of this man's rights, and it illustrates a few things we're seeing broadly:

- DHS officers are ignoring peoples' IDs and instead requiring screening through their own systems
- Confirms @404media.co's reports of use of DHS's facial recognition app.

To clarify: These mobilization plans work like wildfire mobilization (except for floods). It’s not used often. What happens is resources are gathered from around the state from jurisdictions that may not need a swift rescue team right now. These wouldn’t necessarily come from the State Patrol.

I want to encourage all Washingtonians to listen carefully to alerts from your county and emergency management departments. If you receive an evacuation order, please follow that order. It’s critical to your safety.

Chief Batiste of the State Patrol has authorized an All-Risk Mobilization Plan in support of the recent Flood Event in Snohomish & Skagit counties. Specifically, there's a request for 4 swift water rescue teams, swift water technicians, boats and operators & a rescue swimmer. #wawx

Yup, they got the sanctioned tanker. THANK GOD, I was legit worried he just ordered the US Navy to commit actual piracy. Lololol. This is 100% defensible, even tho a lot of people are gonna really hate hearing that.

easy prediction: Fetterman will take the Sinema route and not run for a second term

he hates the job, his constituents despise him, and he’d much rather cash in at some centrist think tank or private equity consultancy than get obliterated in a primary

Overall: 39%

Republicans: 56%
Democrats: 31%
Independents: 30%

I mean, it has been forever, but now it's really blatantly, obviously, textbook piracy.
Whole of the American economy is now piracy.

Trump is actually bragging about the size of the oil tanker he pirated.
Trump: "It's been an interesting day from the standpoint of news. As you probably know, we've just seized a tanker on the coast of Venezuela. Largest one ever seized actually. And other things are happening."

He mostly says the right things, but when he doesn't, the cracks show & you see the Republican underneath - which suggests that it's all just lip service & he wouldn't actually follow thru with any of it.

I’ve posted this before but the light was perfect today- a little Victorian cat paw in a brick at the front of the old Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. As this is on the front-facing corner of the main gates, the bricklayer quite clearly put it there on purpose, at a height where children would spot it.

Venezuela's just the first of many, and they're hoping other places will just fold instead of getting into a protracted air and ground war after this one.

And I know what you're thinking: Didn't the creation of Dubai require slaves? Yes! Good point! Noodle on that for a minute.

People keep wondering why they're going after Venezuela. It's because they want to do regime change and control its oil, then use a big tract of land there to keep a tax free "network state" that looks like Dubai but operates like Rhodesia. They are saying this out loud! Believe them!
