I'm sure the Fraser River is also well over its banks, as well as its tributaries. Travel is at a standstill in Western Washington, at this point. So long as you don't have to cross a river, it's fine. But, there are a whole lot of rivers there, & more rain is expected Monday.

Apparently the White River used to do that - switch between the Stuck River or the Green River. (There are multiple names for stuff & the geography is messy - it's the valley between Sumner & Tukwila in Washington.) In the 1940s, the Army Corps of Engineers reconfigured the rivers due to flooding.

I don't mind altering old jewelry because that's what people did back in the day. No one expected pieces to stay exactly as they were made until after WWII, really. Before that, most things were recycled or upcycled into other things. Unless it's something rare or one of a kind, I'm okay with it.

It's blue chalcedony & moonstone, for those wondering, & it'll end up being about 29 inches long once it's been updated. Probably made during the Victorian Era time frame, but likely in the Ottoman Empire (Turkey).

They think Republicans are being targeted in investigations as some kind of political move - which is why they automatically call out certain Democrats as being reciprocal targets. They don't believe it's a moral-driven thing at all. I'm not even sure they realize morality is even a possibility.
