Bandwagoning this to comment on how Rhodey and John Stewart became G.I. Joes during Bush's two wars and it's a devolution of their 'Nam-vet origins and how past comic writers understood Black veteran experiences.
The Blaxploitation characters deserve to grow and be fleshed out. They deserve more than to be set dressing for Frank, Matt, Peter and Jess (or Bruce and Clark across the way).
Kitty Pryde has such "Chappell Roan recovering from comphet" vibes.

I will not be taking further questions. Stream "Subway."
Imagine booking Carmen Carnero and then having whatever this ugly-ass nonsense is as your promo cover.

And your big announcement is the guy who steers a ton of DC and half the Energon Universe deigning to slum it on your most-recently-flopped core Avenger?

I'll relaunch Moon Knight #1 a thousand times before I let X-Men be fun again
Yeah, but we already knew about that. They basically just sat there and read solicits.
Everything about the launch looks SO GOOD.
The contrast on the @nearmintcon.bsky.social Discord as we react to the NYCC DC Announcements vs. the Marvel Announcements has thus far been quite stark.
Looking forward to what Ashley Allen can do on Magik & Colossus having learned some lessons from her first go round.

(That's it.)
A few of the new X-Men book announcements feel like a parody about what they could do to keep people away from reading more X-Men comics.

Never fun to see my favorite line in comics struggling though a creative and editorial disaster for multiple years.
one of my all-time favorite covers

It's absolutely wild to finally own the contents of Sandman Mystery Theatre Compendium Two.

For a long time it really felt like the back half of Mystery Theatre would NEVER be collected!
I totally forgot that I digitally pre-ordered this but I just looked and POOF now I have it ready to read!

oh my goodness, what a pleasure to see your familiar name pop up on my feed just now
No worries, we should all get to ask for clarification when people make oblique jokes on social media!
It's a snarky comment about them firing a writer who has made many, many questionable comments about politics and violence over the years for making one more comment about politics and violence, while Tom King continues to have very likely actually committed political violence as an act of war.
