Sad to hear of the passing of Rob Wieland, who was clearly a much loved bastion of TTRPG coverage. I only met once, but he showed huge unexpected kindness during and after the interview.

I am absolutely gutted to hear of the death of Rob Wieland, literally one of the greatest tabletop reviewers and commentators we had. Tirelessly tracked industry news, omnipresent in our collective circles and communities. I am so sad for his young family. These are dark days, friends.

For any Catholic, the sight of a Eucharistic Procession being turned away at the gates of the destination is the embodiment of Jesus being denied entrance. You don't have to be Catholic to get the symbolism in that!

Was talking with someone about how nobody seems to really *talk* about comics anymore, which is kinda strangling creator-owned titles, which rely on word of mouth to work. So might as well give this a shot.

If you like superheroes or comics at all, you owe it to yourself to read The Power Fantasy by @kierongillen.bsky.social and @casparw.bsky.social. It’s heady, complex, surprising, fun, and emotional. The characters are unique, the art is expressive and colorful. The best comic going right now.
