The creative team was the nail in the coffin for me. Not because of their skills, just feel like it should be handled by someone different
Also doesn't help that the pitch they gave us feels very paint by numbers.

Unfortunately there was no good way to solve the discrepancy between marketing (Psylocke for many was the Asian body) and sensical story (Kwannon would not take that name)

What's an opinion about X-Men that'll get you sent to jail? Is Jean really interesting or really boring? Should Logan have stayed dead? Do you think a certain x-mens outfit is positively horrendous even though people seem to love it?

The Brood Saga is better than Dark Phoenix imo 🤷

Fair enough, as permanent as anything in comics can be. But with Kwannon around and having fans sidelining her so Betsy can be in yellow face again will be a harder sell

I'm actually kind of glad she does though, cause otherwise Betsy never would have gotten out of the Asian body permanently. A year or two tops before she goes back to being imperialism personified.
