Any individual member of the House can force a vote on impeachments and anything impeachment-related.
Breaking:

Rep. Ro Khanna says the Trump DOJ's production "does not comply with" the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Khanna says he and Rep. Thomas Massie "are exploring all options" — including impeachment of DOJ officials, inherent contempt, or referring individuals for obstruction of justice.

The headline has to be "Justice Department released Epstein files but illegally redacts 'politically exposed individuals'," right?

Like surely they can't just ignore the law, redact their friends, and get away with it because news agencies will pretend the crystal-clear law is unclear?

Any American politician with ambitions of higher office should be aiming for conversational fluency in Spanish IMO
the reality is Spanish is our de facto second language and white people need to sack up and face reality

One big takeaway from Mamdani bringing YIMBYs into his transition is that advocates can often gain a lot of power by

1.) having useful answers to questions and accurate information

2.) being reasonably polite and pleasant to elected officials

3.) understanding the actual mechanics of government

The Atlantic right whale populations have been increasing (slowly) as a result of whaling bans, changes to fishing technology.

Right or wrong, let's have more whales, please! 🐳

Very, very good thread.
Because the issue of population change is so widely misunderstood, here's a short thread which seeks to lay it out simply.
It explains why there is almost nothing anyone can do to change the global population trajectory, both as numbers rise, then as they fall.
