This poor lil guy has SEEN some shit.
Choco disappeared from Patricia Orozco’s home in May 2021.

He managed, somehow, to travel from California to Michigan five years before being reunited with his family.

New band name just dropped
I was just reading an article about menopause that said in Victorian times the process was labelled Uterine Fury.

So that is what we shall call it henceforth.

Went to see A Bug’s Life in the cinema with three others on a Friday night, all of us stoned out of our minds. When the desk lamp hopped out for the animated Pixar logo, we laughed until we cried.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

You are ABSOLUTELY NOT going to regret listening to this bird:
A male rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) in winter plumage.

Ptarmigan is from Gaelic 'tarmachan' meaning "croaker". The p- was added when people mistakenly assumed it was a Greek word.

A bird forever warning people: "A werewolf!" (just in case of werewolves).

Jean Harlow, when introduced to Margot Asquith, clumsily pronounced it MargoT, who immediately quipped – “No, my dear, the T is silent, as in Harlot”

No one before Sam successfully raised a child, which is why the human species went extinct in Mesopotamia. Seriously, the best way to read this is that countless billions of humans did just fine but Sam is not as competent and self-reliant as them, and that's what AI wants us to be: dependent.
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

“Frost on an outdoor Rodin”

I mean… How can you NOT follow this genius?
WHAT: Chanel (métier d’art, 2026)

OCCASIONS: stroking a vase or breaking up with some simp by jumping out of a moving cab on your way to a Sotheby’s auction; your parting words: “Bye, wanker!”

IF IT WERE A SCENT: frost on an outdoor Rodin

EMOTIONAL RANGE: expedient/daring

Love to be told by my GP that asking if menopause is a factor in musculoskeletal problems is “bringing a lot of hot air into the issue.” If he means the steam coming out of my ears, then yes, he’s correct.

Martin Amis on meeting Anthony Burgess. My late best friend used to grade hangovers- eg the ‘angry cat trying to get out through your eyeballs hangover,’ the ‘vague, zen-like hangover’ and worst of all, the ‘dinner with Anthony Burgess hangover’. I guess this is where he got it from.

I don’t mind when tv or movie adaptations veer from the book - it’s a different medium - but holy Jesus #Trespasses is uncannily like the mental film that played in my head while reading Louise Kennedy’s incredible book. Devastating, moving, brilliant work by all involved.
