I realise I have been remiss and have not posted the various items I have made in pottery class this semester. I decided to try again after a break of about five years.

I’ll probably pin this post so it’s easier to update it.

Disclaimer, I am not good at this by any means, but it’s fun.

NEEDS and WANTS

It was taught to me in high school Commerce Class
And in Life

Everyone should have all their NEEDS
Before anyone gets any of their WANTS

When everyone has all they NEED
those that needlessly WANT
can satisfy their GREED

My town has a strange microclimate. We are in Northern Ireland, but my town is pretty much warm all winter (warmer than average) so we rarely get snow. And at some point planting some sort of palm tree became trendy.

They have started cladding the trunks of said pines in sheets of fairy lights.

Another catnip thread for the neurospicy. Ranging from sewing to archeology and then some.
Things used in everyday life are the real archaeological treasures! These sewing #needles were made from animal bone some 15,000 years ago. Some designs simply don't need to be improved, because form and functions were perfectly matched from the start. Form follows function! 🧵1/2
