Thank you for being here. I share nature, art, and glimpses into the wilds of imagination—shaped by chronic illness, sight and hearing loss. I may not always reply, but I read every word with gratitude. This is a space for stillness, wonder, and quiet connection. #CreativeResilience #NatureArt
Thank you, James — open heartedly received! Sending my very best wishes to you in return. 💫💚💫
A woodland walk — more of a dawdle — revealed tiny marvels, strewn like spilt treasure: tree rubies, spiral snail shells, pale as alabaster…
Then, just as I stepped into the light, a sleeping beauty nestled in the grass — a Green-veined White, a pale-winged dream at the forest’s edge #TrailTreasure
Wildflower Tears
My eyes, tired and teary, a flower, bejewelled with raindrops, caught my gaze.
Only Nature, I thought, does bedraggled so beautifully.
“You may feel weary,” Nature whispered,
“but you’re beautiful too.”
I hope Nature finds you and reminds you how luminous your tears can be. #Nature
Thank you, Chloe — these softer meadow tones seemed to gather themselves, a playful way to enjoy the day!
Thank you, Martina — I love that! Autumn’s melancholy does invite a little creative management… gentle reflection and a touch of wonder — my key management tools. 💛
Wildflowers gathered from our meadow between squally showers today.
Each stem picked with care — a final flourish from the wild, or, more aptly a whisper.
gathered close and cherished in a teacup.

Beauty that defies ominous October skies —

On grey days, autumn’s leafy embers glow all the brighter.
The smouldering beauty of copper and crimson beech leaves, lighting the woodland floor —
flame on, autumn… you warm our hearts.

That’s nature for you! Thank you so much.
So much for efficiency! I meant to clear my desk today…
But nature had other plans.
A stroll around our habitat became a treasure hunt — and the joyful distraction of wild things took over.
Sharing it here for #WildflowerHour.
Time close to nature is always time well spent! #Autumn #Nature
Sorry for my brief absences here. I could explain (again!) — but that’s dull.
Let’s just say I’ve been away with the fairies… and this time, I have proof:
a Beech Tree Fairy, discovered among the coppery leaves.
Nature, imagination, creativity — my recipe for contentment.

21 days of suspense, then today my moth movie star appeared: a male Vapourer, russet wings, white eye-spots, feathered antennae. Perhaps he emerged from the cocoon I’ve been watching above my bed, or was he lured by a hidden wingless female? Either way, what a scene! Nature’s own slow cinema. #Moth
A chill breeze hurried me toward my studio,
but nature, placing treasures in my path, insisted I pause.
A saffron leaf veined chartreuse,
a dew-slicked ivy leaf,
acorns strewn like autumn’s cup-and-ball game,
and a citrine knopper gall.
At my door: a mushroom altar to place my trove upon.
#WildAltar
Still caught in the web of a restless night — pain, nausea, no real sleep — I stepped into the meadow.
There, on a cloud of yarrow, I found her: a Painted Lady fairy, silk-winged, sculpted stillness. A tiny spell I once made.
Nature plus a sense of wonder, helps restore healing and hope

Thank you, Nicola—your words mean so much. It is tough, but love, strength and wonder are exactly what keep me going. I always find those qualities shining through your own words and work with nature. Shining nature’s light back to you. xx 🌿💚🌿
Eyes in the Wild
Recovery from neuro-Lyme, and the challenges of T1D related eye disease continue to shape my days, making it more difficult for me to remain present here.
Yet, nature coaxes me forward, sharing something beautiful every day. Lately, I keep seeing ‘wild eyes’ gently watching over me.
“Tea for two, and two for tea… me for you, and you for me”.
Resting on sun-warmed stones, sea foam brushing our boots — we marked our 19th wedding anniversary.
No grand gestures, just green tea, flapjacks, and the eternal rhythm of the sea—reminding us how powerful love is.
Grateful beyond words.
So glad, Nancy! Aren’t they fascinating? There’s such quiet joy in putting a name to what we find isn’t there. 💚
Thank you so much, Nicola—it’s been a tough stretch of what I euphemistically call my ‘health journey,’ but sharing the small wonders I discover along the way, and the love I receive in return, helps me keep going. Sending love back to you too x 🌿
Still not very present here — Neuro-Lyme and tapering meds haven’t made for a summer breeze. But with autumn’s arrival, perhaps things will begin to settle. Sharing a few first-of-September treasures before an autumn wind carries my good intentions away #CreativeRecovery

The birch seeds that drifted onto my blanket like tiny tree angels became a #NatureMandala. To my delight, prayers folded into their wings revealed true seeds—like miniature butterflies, from which trees may grow. Their only flight over, they settle… silently, hopefully, waiting for Spring. #Nature
Thanks so much, Liz—your message really touched me. It’s such a relief to be home. I was first diagnosed with Lyme in 2021, but this recent neurological diagnosis brings a new kind of clarity—and hope. I’ve heard about Miranda’s book from a few kind souls now, and will definitely give it a listen. x
