At least it’s warm outside so I can sit in my car before going into work for a bit because idk how I’m gonna put up with the keyboard clacking and general coworker crap and zero motivation without my meds.

If you’re at the 45th parallel in the U.S. you’ll get a lot of reminders you’re there, especially at the 45-90 marker near Wausau, Wisconsin, the center of the NW Hemisphere. But as the 45 marker in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, tells you, you’re not actually midway between the Equator and the North Pole.

If you are out observing or rapid responding to ICE today, let them know that they’ve lost. Remind them that they’ve failed and they should go home and call a lawyer.

I think one thing people outside Minnesota don't understand is that after Good and Pretti were killed by feds while observing, the most normal people you could imagine have made peace with the fact that they could be next, and they are still out there because they say it's the right thing to do.
“If I am killed doing this, throw my body at the White House, martyr the shit out of me & raise hell. Do not be sad. Do not think I would do anything differently. I would do it over & over again — this is too important to sit down & shut up and not do anything.” www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
Pursued by federal agents, suburban ICE observers remain resolved
After a frightening pursuit by federal agents, suburban ICE observers say fear hasn’t stopped them from protecting their communities.

Might’ve finally sorted out the crap with my pharmacy benefits, and now I’m hit by the ADHD med shortage. Yay.

Also unironically the resolution barring former ICE or January 6thers from ever being law enforcement in Minnesota was very cool.

Went from, “idk if I wanna be a delegate at the organizing unit convention,” to “fuck it caucusing for Flanagan,” in about 5 seconds tonight. I have an oath of being Angie Craig’s biggest hater to uphold.

Me AF
i talked to a journalist recently about the DFL training constitutional observers to prepare for caucus night in case ICE shows up and i said i bet most people caucusing are trained already because we’re civic minded and care about our neighbors
Worth noting as well that the knowledge and tactics taught at the trainings have, by this point, pretty deeply permeated among the broader public.

To some extent, wherever you go, most random passersby know what to do. People carry whistles with them, a big response can materialize out of nowhere.

A manager for the Immigrant Defense Network told MPR News that back in November, 2,500 people were trained as constitutional observers. Now, the total is nearly 30,000 trained observers in 77 of Minnesota's 87 counties.

🚨 Documents leaked to me reveal a federal watchlist of American protesters suspected of being Antifa - including its supposed leader.

One Department of Homeland Security document says a 29-year-old resident of Portland "is the leader of Antifa":

America fucking sucks because what do you mean my pharmacy benefits are managed by a HEALTHCARE STARTUP

Like, I already despised a lot of tech startups but we gotta spare some ire for these companies, too. And get universal healthcare, too, dang.

That means ~815k Minnesotans participated in the shutdown and ~310k in the strike. That would make Minnesota’s January 23 general strike one of the largest in history.
A new poll finds that 1 in 4 Minnesota voters took part in the Jan 23 shutdown against ICE, or have a loved one who did. Of those, 38% DID NOT WORK, either because they made the choice to stay out, or their workplaces closed. By me, @thomasbirm.bsky.social, @bloomekatz.bsky.social

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test

Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs)

Good tech.

Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales)

Bad tech.

It reads "ICE OUT OF MN" "FOR GOOD" with the names of those killed by federal agents.
