If the reports that they had people from Vets Park to the stadium are correct... Conservatively, 2 miles x 1 person/5 feet = 2000+ people. I was at the park end and it was denser than that there plus people on the other side of the street.

every smug internet communist tweet about showing up to a No Kings protest with an abolish ICE shirt to scare the libs is getting completely mogged by the real-life winemoms showing up with slogans like "ICE will melt in hell"

like this is vicious.

they waited for the grandmas to go home so they could do this.
LAPD now shooting 40mm foam rounds at people, some narrowly missing photographers who were stuck in between the line and protesters. Just absolutely evil shit.

Hero’s of the day - In a small town of Beckley, WV, Kendra Sullivan staged a one-woman No Kings protest. She was confronted, had the police called on her, but stood her ground. She was physically threatened. Police came more than once and protected her right to protest. This is how we do it.

Retired Army Sgt. Brian Wofford spoke to me this morning at the Oklahoma City #NoKings protest. Didn’t expect him to be carrying his DD214 so I asked some warmup questions like when he got out and whether his injury was service-related.

He paused while describing the car bomb in Iraq to say this:

Protesters aren't the rioters. The cops are.
Los Angeles, CA -

Absolute chaos resulting from LAPD charge using batons, horse mounted units, “less lethal” projectiles. Protesters going in every direction. LAPD themselves don’t seem to know where protesters or press are supposed to be.

In case you’re wondering, yes: there are already moderation lists for blocking people who follow regime accounts in dev right now as well.

Honestly, I promise however much it feels like trolling them back is “resistance” it only feeds the beast by boosting their visibility and giving them a way to target users.

Smash that block button and give yourself a treat— you deserve it.

i imagine there’s about to be an influx of MAGA chuds spewing their bullshit but i really can’t stress enough that if we don’t give them oxygen, they’ll get bored and leave. block early and often.
i know the desire to fight with these sick freaks is strong but resist the urge and just block. it’s better for your brain.

almost every single one of the gov accounts that got created today have kicked off with some message blaming dems for shutdown, they’re trying to turn back the tide of public opinion blaming them, just block them
looks like it is, block them anyway, depriving them of oxygen is an extremely effective strategy
it’s not impossible that this is legit, but it’s unlikely, they’re not using the domain verification, block them either way

Trump, MAGA, and the billionaire plague are growing fat on the lives of just about everyone else. They are stealing the future from our kids.
💯 I do not want and do not need voice control on my computer *especially* if it's LLM-powered.
I've heard rumors it might be rescued by another country like Justice in the Dark was and come on, other country, Tan Jianci wants us to see this *so much*, please don't disappoint him!

Again, Mark Zuckerberg's kids go to a screen-free school with 14 students total and multiple specialized tutors
let me note that one of the actual tests here is going to be 'what do people pushing these ideas want for their own children' and I will bet you a lot of money that the answer is 'the elite university model of Harvard et al' not 'learning through AI slop'
Wow. Just wow.

"Students pay premium prices for information that AI now delivers instantly and for free. A business student can ask ChatGPT to explain supply chain optimization or generate market analysis in seconds. The traditional lecture-and-test model faces its Blockbuster moment."

Here is a Reddit threat that explains how to disable Copilot in Windows, which I've just followed:

Remember when South Park did a thing where they had every Alexa in voice range of a teevee put things in the owner's Amazon cart?
Can you imagine a writers retreat where everyone is talking to their computer all the time? Or a classroom? Or trying to work in an open plan office where everyone in every cubicle is talking in loud clear voices and then things go wrong because their computer heard Bill talking two cubicles over...
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...
