Why do I post a lot about being trans? It's about normalizing us everywhere, including the halls of power. I spent today in the Capitol chatting with university presidents and staffers. I walked with a Senator & talked about our budget priorities. Yesterday I lobbied two GOP staffers.

I know this made the rounds a few days ago, but A. I'm slow and B. it feels stunning that a candidate in 2025 put out an entire 2 minute campaign ad supporting specifically trans people in the darkest hour in decades.

I'd forgotten what hope felt like.

yes, this is it! base wear wasn't an option for me then, but I'm so middle heavy I look like the letter thorn þ. my options are to wear pants at my stomach or at my waist and have my stomach fall over my belt. I don't mind being fat, but the lumpiness and distribution leaves something to be desired

see, I didn't even know jeans or khakis could have give built into them, and I got sick of being strangled all day long. the first time I discovered many women's jeans have some elastic content I was furious

the last time I worked in a large office was 2015, though, so I'm out of touch

oh, I meant my old style. I could never figure out guy biz cas - khakis are oppressive, jeans and polos are too informal, slacks and button downs are the same as any other day without legislative session or a big meeting

I mostly wear dresses now, but that's hard to not be overkill for lady biz cas
