Reading the news and the regular, every day people who sign up to torture their fellow human beings to get a paycheck, my hunch is that America is 55-45 against the concept of concentration camps, but 80-20 in favor of the reality of them.

His hour and a half long video defending the “boring” state flags is a masterpiece. Utterly trivial topic. Borderline meaningless in the scope of history

But he passionately argued (with mountains of evidence!) for the historic significance and even beauty of the old flags

haha this is legitimately funny. Somebody hypnotize their CEO to believe Kamala Harris is president
Gallup says it will stop doing presidential approval polls (after 88 years of doing it) because of "an evolution in how Gallup focuses it's public research". This is eliminating a time series that goes back to FDR.

The only way to get accountability here is with this one simple trick: hypnotize a judge into believing that Kamala Harris is president.
Court battle over surveillance footage at the Broadview ICE detention center reaches new levels of kafkaesque absurdity: The DOJ claimed it *couldn't afford* hard drives to put video footage on. Plaintiffs bought THE US GOVERNMENT hard drives. ICE "lost" them.

Anyone in Minnesota will tell you that this matches the eye test. They are simply grabbing anyone who's not white. Full stop. There is no other strategy to this at all. It's a racist, heinous federal occupation.

Dismantle the agencies.
Prosecute everyone involved.
Redistribute all the funding.
A stunning detail the ICE chief shared in this hearing that was supposed to be a brag, except it isn't: ICE has arrested 379,000 people between Jan. 2025-Jan. 2026 -- but only 8,700 were suspected gang members or known suspected terrorists.

That's 2%! www.huffpost.com/entry/latest...

The U.S. currently has more prisoners and a more sophisticated system of concentration camps than Nazi Germany had on the eve of World War II in 1939
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

I’m not sure we’ve properly addressed how profoundly disturbing it is that America can largely shrug at the stashing of human beings in giant warehouses.

As pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training, three front office staffers spoke to me about helping Latino baseball players and their families navigate an America ravaged by ICE raids.

They say guidance from MLB has been “minimal” so their teams are getting creative.
