White House Deputy Press Secretary seen here posting data showing how much more prevalent right wing domestic terrorism is than left wing domestic terrorism... while thinking she's showing the reverse.

Apparently she can only read headlines, but not the actual graph with the data.

About this Florida vaccine story:

When they were little - 1 yr and 3 1/2 - my two older boys, who’d had all their shots, got whooping cough.

We asked their pediatrician what would’ve happened if they hadn’t been vaccinated.

“Oh, they’d have died.”

Q for those w experience in politics or diplomacy:

Is there *any* other example of a US prez, on US soil, letting a foreign leader control the mic for a very long time, in his own language, w/o consecutive translation, before letting US prez say anything all?

I don't know of any.

Humiliating.

Look, Gavin Newsom is always going to be Gavin Newsom, with everything that implies, but he seems to grasp the reality of what's happening here more clearly than most national figures in the Democratic Party
Newsom: "He doesn't play by a different set of rules. He doesn't believe in the rules. As a consequence, we need to disabuse ourselves of the way things have been done. It's not enough to just hold hands, have a candlelight vigil, talk about way the world should be...we have got to meet fire w/fire"

Today Charlottesville #NoKings was four deep and we're 1/20 of DC's population.
whole thing seems fairly low energy? and maybe overshadowed by a mix of No Kings and the attack in Minneapolis that Trump helped inspire.
It’s 6:04 p.m. in D.C., and we have parading. Crowd has filled in a bit at the route front, but mainly one deep along Constitution Avenue.

I think this is what American brownshirt activity will look like. Not a literal paramilitary force, but a heavily armed constituency that's been emboldened to kill.
reports are that someone dressed as a cop and in a vehicle that looked like an unmarked cop vehicle has shot at the homes of Minnesota Democratic state legislators, three shot, all severely injured

expect more partisan assassination attempts in the coming months

as far as I can tell ‘head hopping’ is basically a term for when third person omniscient doesn’t work well. Like, I know what the failure state they’re talking about is, but as usual with bad writing advice (‘show don’t tell’ say) it’s often simplified into a straight ban that makes no sense
