The English version of Beyblade X volume 1 came out this week! I've been a huge fan for basically my entire life, so it's an honor to get to do the lettering for the English version. I'd like to do a mini tour of some of my work, and explain what it is I even do.

i only ever hear bad things about this award show. the games industry should start an actual recognized prestige award presentation, sorta like its own version of the oscars or grammys. put this shitshow on the woodpile next to the American Music Awards, Golden Globes, etc.
Devs were only allowed a few (I believe two) tickets per nomination before Geoff charged them. Resale tickets were in the hundreds. And we all know what happened to Future Class (if you don’t, read my piece).

Whenever I think too highly of myself, I flick myself on the forehead and go admire the miracles that Manga Letterers perform with patience and determination.
"Surely anyone will a little Adobe know-how can do this--" No, not just anyone can make it look this good and still meet their deadlines.

i know chapter 15 of Bug Ego came out a bit ago but i'm finally around to letting everyone know that YES i did have to completely redraw this computer screen and do all of the text, adjust the original emojis, and do all the effects myself! it took hours!!! happy with how it turned out but damn!

some friends and I started a tradition of eating fried chicken on thanksgiving, and this year I hosted so I thought I’d try deep frying for the first time. it was so scary, but I’m proud of myself for doing it anyway!

Dubbing will continue to stagnate until serious time and consideration is given to the pattern of severe undercutting that is prevalent in the industry. Budgets are getting slashed on workers who were already expected to cut corners with low pay. Adapters and translators are your backbone.
