I know this is in the running for worst album cover of all time, but I promise you that the songs themselves do rule.
The album cover of Stuff by Holly McNarland, where McNarland sits crouched inside a dog's mouth.

Seeing game devs take a "the customer is always right" approach to feedback is so sad because like I get it from a PR perspective, but...

1) The customer is always wrong

2) Your customers are gamers, so they're twice as wrong

if you want to know how much games culture has actually changed just remember tim rogers review of ninja gaiden ii in 2008 which said that itagaki's sexual harassment accusation was both extremely cool and probably fake and also if he wants to make a good game he should kill himself like mishima
love their first three albums

I love how much every animal on planet earth goes apeshit for gourds
Although classified as carnivores, wolves may sometimes follow an omnivorous diet. They can eat meat, eggs and even fruit!

This time of year, pumpkins are a special treat for our ambassador wolves.🎃 #wolffact
It feels like Ocarina was a lot of figuring out how the hell to even make this thing work, with Majora's then getting to actually play and elaborate. Extra surprising given the time crunch.
How far is far and is this about the Torch hidden aspect?

Like I kind of put the game away after rolling credits but I did want all of those.

The original Super Mario Bros (which turns 40 this week) is a bit of an anomaly: it got several remakes over the years that retained what makes it great. @marcnormandin.bsky.social on how every version of Super Mario Bros has its place.
Whether 8-Bit, 16-Bit, or Battle Royale, It's Always Super Mario Bros.
The original Super Mario Bros, which turns 40 this week, is lucky: it got several remakes over the years that retained what makes it great.

This is what I'm constantly saying with these. The games were designed and staged in 4:3, you do not need to add random edge emptiness just to make it be "widescreen"
Everyone's right about the horrors done to the kerning and the pixel art. But really I'm just looking at that widescreen bullshit, and you're all monsters for ever thinking that was the correct decision.
Just captured some Grandia 1, here it is compared to the remaster

It's Marina Monday, if you haven't heard.

Background inspired by the Migan Brawl!! boss fight
A high angled shot of Marina, standing with clenched fists at her sides. She's standing on a rocky platform with lava flowing behind her.
Hazelnut Hex is a recent one that is an absolute delight and is also extremely welcoming.

Radiant Silvergun is another Treasure one that is more "standard" than Ikaruga.

Bad news, there is barely any beverage talk in this one. Good news, Robin is open to her hand in marriage being bought. Oh, we also spend a lot of time talking about the importance of having conviction in critical thinking and why Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is great

playing a Pokemon and being upset the story is for kids is like sending back your steak at Applebee's. like, you know what you signed up for. it could be much worse. if you wanted wagyu you could have gone to a steakhouse. but the steakhouse doesn't have $5 margaritas - and your friends are here.

hah. hahaha. HAHAHAHA. imagine believing this.

Sorry, but the Young Republicans have always been this way. If you want to make a distinction -- the TPUSA Republicans simply were furious they couldn't be open on network TV about how they thought "Hitler was soft on degenerates."
For those tempted to say Young Republicans have always been this way, they really have not. When I worked on campus and did bipartisan college events after, they were very much not like this.

That’s why groups like YCT and eventually TPUSA formed — because Young Republicans weren’t radical enough.
EXCLUSIVE: Thousands of leaked messages show leaders of Young Republican groups joking about gas chambers, slavery and rape in a private Telegram chat.

Inside rising GOP leaders’ racist chats — obtained by POLITICO and spanning more than 7 months👇

Naoki Kubo is responsible for platforming some of my favorite artists, like Hideo Azuma and Fumio Nakajima.

Lemon People was a lightning rod for one of the most vital artistic movements of '80s otaku culture.

Comic Lo and ilk would not have been possible without it.

The industry owes a debt.
Editor in Chief of Lemon People, Naoki Kubo, passed away on October 12.

WHEN THERE’S TREASURE BEHIND THE WATERFALL: Oh wow. Yes, very clever! Waterfall treasure! No one’s ever done that before. Lazy jackass

WHEN THERE’S NO TREASURE BEHIND THE WATERFALL: Wow. Too stuck-up to put treasure there huh? Too much of a fucking ICONOCLAST for that? Piece of shit. FUCK you
Remarkable how often people think we can't be mad at or about a lot of things at once
