It's not just David Walliams who should suffer professional ruin, it's all the senior staff at his publisher involved in implementing a policy whose only possible interpretation is that they believed that he represented a danger to their employees but continued to work with him anyway.

Doesn’t feel good that the head of BBC News Content is instructing reporters to refer to trans people with slurs. If this leak is real it raises questions about who made this decision, who was consulted, and why the BBC chose to ignore its own editorial guidelines on slurs and offensive language
EXCLUSIVE
The BBC has circulated leaked guidance telling journalists to describe trans women as “biological males”.

Clarity should not come at the cost of dignity. #bbc #humanrights #journalism #transparency #transrights

The new Head of the equality and human rights commission in the UK was a donor in Alison Bailey vs Stonewall; a frivolous case about how Alison being a knobhead caused Alison lose work after stonewall said its best not to work with knobheads. (Heavily summarised)

Aw, man. Gil Gerard died. It's near impossible to be a Gen-Xer and not have grown up with him as a hero. A soap opera actor turned lunch box superhero, he absolutely dominated the late 70s as Buck Rogers. He was also Jake Rizzo on Sidekicks and many will remember him from THE NICE GUYS. Legend.

With Olivier Giroud producing very similar levels of analysis to David Ginola I’m wondering if there isn’t some mathematical formula for French footballers whereby their looks and footballing skill are inversely proportionate to the quality of their punditry.

Do you think there will ever come a time where America as a whole (as much as such a thing exists) will be embarrassed by the fact they elected him. Twice.

Very interesting: Washington Supreme Court Justice Mary Yu (who's retiring soon) won't apply equal protection to invalidate discrimination against the poor because she's afraid of giving SCOTUS an opportunity to further weaken the 14th Amendment. Remarkably candid. www.courts.wa.gov/opinions/pdf...

it turns out it’s impossible to know if Nigel Farage is a racist or not unless he says he is, that’s just how it works
The Home Secretary is asked, is Farage a racist? She says its for him to answer questions about his own conduct.
