"we're turning the floor into a zoo"

it really raises the question: what is a zoo in the zootopia universe? why would zoos exist?
they asked shakira to put out a new song for zootopia and she just gave them waka waka with animal-themed lyrics.

ChatGPT's writing style isn't just a niche vernacular in today's fast-paced world — it's everywhere, it's right now, and it's horrible. It remarkably captures the experience of mixing all the beverages at a soda fountain. This didn't create the perfect drink; it tragically lost its constituent parts
ChatGPT’s signature writing style is everywhere now, and I hate it. It reminds me of when we tried mixing all the beverages at the soda fountain in middle school. We didn’t actually create the perfect drink, we just made a cloying monstrosity that lost everything good about its constituent parts.

i do, in fact, think it is a good thing if retired people whose children long since moved on have to sell their five bedroom houses.

the second one is so funny because it's like, why are you working a lower income job struggling to make ends meet while you're sitting on a £2 million asset. million ways you could handle your finances better than that.
Mumsnet is already on the case.

This house tax pretending is making me more insane than usual because as a renter I’ve had to move every 1-3 years just as standard because rents always rise. And no one cares. House owners get a tiny fraction of that precarity and suddenly it’s the worst thing that’s ever happened

when he figures out how to be smart hulk, he just explains it with a wikipedia summary of what should've been his core emotional arc: he has to accept that hulk is a part of him, not a disease to cure. but that just happened offscreen! you should have depicted it!
they had him do the famous line in avengers 1, but post-ultron, the mark ruffalo hulk is basically never angry. character assasination.

BBC staff apparently aren't allowed to quote the line so I'll do it for them:

Donald Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history.
The important bit about this story - in reality the only important bit because nothing here is new - is that it delivers to an audience previously unaware of it a truth about the BBC's relationship to power: craven. www.theguardian.com/media/2025/n...
BBC tells staff they cannot quote Trump line removed from Reith Lecture
Journalists not allowed to repeat Rutger Bregman’s corruption claims against US president in coverage of edit

All of this “woe is me my house is now really expensive and so a tax is unfair” stuff completely negates to acknowledge the implicit fact that the house owner has made an insane profit by doing absolutely nothing
Mumsnet is already on the case.
