It’s also time for the country to make sure that those who created this unmitigated economic failure: Farage, the pro #Brexit Tories etc. never get an opportunity to do more harm to the UK.
The tide is turning. Even the Telegraph is now admitting the damage the Brexit deal has done to the economy.

I think one of the turning points for Corbyn was his response to the Salisbury poisonings when his kneejerk reaction made it seem like he was siding with Russia.

Absolutely need to keep nailing Reform for the same issue. The Nathan Gill case shows that Reform are against their own country.

Nazi Germany's Admiral Doenitz was convicted of war crimes at Nuremberg based on this order:

“Merchant ships will be sunk without warning with the intention of killing as many of the crew as possible. U-boats are to surface after torpedoing and shoot up the lifeboats”.

The Hong Kong government and its Beijing overseer, by the way, badly wants the world to focus on bamboo — and not the failure of government oversight in a territory that no longer allows dissent or a free press to investigate stuff.

I'm sure there will be denials. However, the contractors have been arrested. Whether they will be convicted on harsher sentences than the political activists remains to be seen.
The Hong Kong fires is a political story, not a bamboo tragedy. It is about what happens when institutions are no longer accountable because of the erosion of the rule of law. When a government focuses on controlling the people, not serving them. When civil society is crushed.

This. We never needed “world beating speed” but a slightly faster #HS2 built to take double-deck trains would have freed up much more capacity on a WCML that is so full, it’s creaking.
You know when pro-HS2 people said it was about capacity more than speed, and the West Coast Main Line was filling up? Now we have no national rail strategy, no HS2 to Manchester and this absurd stupidity. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Today's headline - on all media - that "asylum seekers are to be banned from taking taxis to medical appointments" silently implies that they're doing it to take the piss.

In fact, they are obliged to under current rules - introduced by previous governments - to keep them under surveillance.

There's something mesmerising about Badenoch's combination of supreme intellectual confidence and "Jesus? Didn't he play for Real Madrid?" command of detail.

It's like somebody spliced the certainty of Margaret Thatcher with the work ethic of Boris Johnson.
