Whenever I see an asshole driving like 35 miles per hour on a narrow residential side street and punish-passing cyclists, I always run the plate ... and I am constantly amazed how our cops and political elite allow drivers like this to terrorize our neighborhoods: howsmydrivingny.nyc/tajpl3oz

Haven’t been following this, so apologies if redundant, but have you checked out KEXP out of Seattle? @kexp-feed.nvm2u.com

I try not to share a lot of doom news, but I think it's important to acknowledge that this administration has murdered 27 people in the Caribbean after a total of 5 attacks on boats in international waters.

They should be held accountable for every one of these crimes against humanity.

I see. Well, not gonna describe it…

Don’t know but I hate it. Some variant of their former cartoon « mascot » which, I just learned the Corp apparently « killed » back in February? Because we apparently must have waifu owls now? Having finished the French course I’m looking for a replacement app.

Duolingo's bizarre anime series is causing controversy already
The Duo cartoon has sparked fierce linguistic debate.

What the hell @duolingoverde.bsky.social
What makes you think I want a tarted-up/Lolita-ized cartoon owl presented to me for completing a lesson? FOH with that.

🚨 The DSCC — led by Kirsten Gillibrand, Mark Kelly, Adam Schiff, and Lisa Blunt Rochester — has formed a joint fundraising committee with Janet Mills.

Mills, running against Graham Platner in the Maine Democratic Senate primary, would become the oldest freshman (79) ever elected, to a 6-year term.

Interesting, as HealthPartners has long been a TPA for many of their "self-insuring" clients. And since they operate as a not-for-profit, I would expect their costs to be lower than those of a for-profit like UHC. Unless UHC gave a sweet-heart sign-up deal to your employer to get them on board.
bcmfietser.bsky.social
Interesting. Wasn't aware of UMR but looking them up I see they are just a "third party administrator" for UnitedHealthcare. Not surprised to see that UHC is apparently part of your new "normal." I also wonder whether UMR is actually just a subsidiary of UHC?
bcmfietser.bsky.social
Uff da. Sorry this has become normal!
bcmfietser.bsky.social
That really sucks. Sorry that’s become your new normal.

This begins the most annoying waiting period for those intent on using SWLRT. I lived through this with the BlueLine decades ago. Just painful to watch for *months* actual LRT cars traversing clearly completed infrastructure, devoid of actual riders.
unlivingmetal.bsky.social
It's arrived! The first LRV has made it to the Southwest Station area.

May I ask which insurance provider and which care-system you’re with? Totally understand if you don’t wish to share either.
