watching hundreds of democrats on here SUDDENLY shocked by the thermobaric bombs dropped in Gaza, things that Palestinians have told us were happening for 2 YEARS,

and immediately use that shock to blame people for “not voting for Harris“ because this “wouldn’t have happened under her”

Notepad should not know what the internet is. If you have notepad talking to remote servers you're already like 10 steps into a "factors leading to" slide.

What the heck are they doing over there
The AI features added to Notepad created a critical exploit vulnerable to loading a compromised txt file.

The fix is part of Patch Tuesday, so update your systems.

AI is not a feature I ever desired in Notepad. I should look into some alternatives...
AI-upgraded Notepad now exposes Windows users to critical exploit
A critical remote code execution vulnerability found in the AI-upgraded Windows 11 Notepad has fueled renewed criticism of Microsoft's forced AI feature creep.

DC statehood yesterday
Congressional Republicans are going to deprive D.C. of $700 million in revenue and repeal a local program projected to reduce child poverty by 20 percent, solely to spite District residents and make us suffer. They’re also throwing our tax filing into utter chaos. This is a disaster.

I’m seeing more and more Minneapolis/Minnesota people naming that they are burned out and I just hope people allow themselves to change their pacing from sprint to marathon or better yet, a relay.

Slow down if the alternative is you crashing out and not being able to do anything.

i've learned that most people who invoke the phrase "purity test" are using it as a shorthand for, and to diminish the entire concept of, "not tolerating overt transphobia and/or racism in a public forum"
Posting this in light of his recent dog piling of smaller accounts trying to get them banned.

tfw you’ve summed up your whole writing career and then attributed it to “left wing discourse on A.I.”
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com

Right now, “left-wing discourse on A.I. feels like a collection of irritable mental gestures in search of a consistent theme,” our columnist Ross Douthat writes.
Opinion | The Left Needs a Sharper A.I. Politics

Markwayne Mullin defends "show me your papers": "If you're here legally, there's nothing to hide. Most people already are walking around with a government-issued ID, meaning your Real ID or your driver's license. If you go board a train here, you gotta show your ID."

“Four of my children just evaporated,” Badran said, holding back tears. “I looked for them a million times. Not a piece was left. Where did they go?”

There are no words to adequately describe the evil here.

US-made thermal weapons burning at 3,500C caused 2,842 people to "evaporate" in Gaza, Al Jazeera investigation finds.

Pearl-clutching lefties better catch up really quick because they are using consensual adult erotic labor as a stand in for a moral panic whose energy needs to be directed at the rapists and human traffickers who are sitting in public office.

Sex workers need rights & free ALL trafficked people.
When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as “pornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict “pornography” and what that actually means

This post is going viral, but this isn't walking back. It's reiterating the initial press release. There's no new information in this post, aside from them saying they're using a different ID partner (which doesn't solve that problem) and the Reddit joke. Everything else is the same. Keep pushing.
Discord is already starting to walk things back a little, so people should keep doing what they're doing (cancel Nitro, leave feedback/criticism, direct contact through support tickets/phone/email/etc)

It aint just republicans.

Trump set off a surge of AI in the federal government. See what happened.
The Trump administration is accelerating AI adoption across government, embedding the technology in policing, health care, defense and science.
