It’s hilarious that Melania is a big enough narcissist to think that people would want to see a documentary about her that she helped create. Lady, you’re literally nothing. Fuck you.

Pretty bold move by the WH to post this the day after Donald Trump demanded that the IRS just hand him $10 billion (more than his total net worth) of taxpayer funds for no real reason.

Let's speak plainly.

In a legitimate criminal cases, political appointees don't have to first hollow out U.S. Attorney offices of objecting career prosecutors with integrity; federal judges don't kill the cases at the cradle, and the government doesn't fight tooth and nail to revive them.

it's much worse than an "absence of leadership"

this is one of the most powerful, well-resourced tech companies in human history. Even within the realm of feckless capitulation there's no reason for Cook's extracurriculars (attending this cack, the corny statue) unless you approve of fascism
“This isn’t leadership. This is an absence of leadership,” an Apple employee said about CEO Tim Cook's latest capitulation: Attending a White House screening of Bezos-funded "Melania" on the night of Pretti's murder.

Read @theintercept.com on the staff rebellion at Apple:
Apple Workers Are Livid That Tim Cook Saw “Melania” Movie Hours After CBP Killed Pretti
Internal Slack logs shared with The Intercept show outrage over Cook’s coziness with Trump and Apple's silence on Pretti's death.

Given the earnings Tesla just reported, it makes sense to shift money they don’t have out of making cars they can’t sell and into a speculative AI venture focused on hallucinatory non-consensual nude image generation.

There are people with principled takes on the 2nd Amendment, like the 1st.

But if you ever believed that the American Right broadly supported 2nd Amendment rights, as opposed to rights for people who agreed with them, you are a fool.
Trump: "With that being said, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that. But it's just a very unfortunate incident."

"You raise your voice, I erase your voice."

ICE in Minneapolis are erasing your rights.

This is embarrassingly on-the-nose textbook “psychology of fascism” stuff. Bitter, impotent tools getting to feel powerful by proxy watching brutality done on their behalf.
Tim Pool: “I’m not licking the boot. It’s my boot. I voted for it. I’m the one stomping…”

This mindset is genuinely pathetic.

It’s an alpha fantasy: watching state violence and imagining you’re exercising power rather than the one submitting to it.

"All of the sources support the mass deportation agenda," but think ICE is going about it the wrong way. Hey fuck-o's, if you "support the mass deportation agenda," then you support this. You can't have one without the other.
Even the goons are turning on the goons (and, especially, Greg Bovino) now.

Others are directed at the concentration camp guards inside.

This is insane. Even in wholly justified shootings, the police involved often suffer trauma and stress effects. They should absolutely not be back on the street until they receive counseling and have been cleared.
CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

Greg Bovino is, to paraphrase the great Marisa Kabas, a Gestapo bitch.
Bovino: "When politicians, community leaders, & some journalists engage in that heated rhetoric we keep talking about, when they make the choice to vilify law enforcement calling law enforcement 'Gestapo' or using the term 'kidnapping,' that is a choice & there are actions & consequences."

Patel is lying about the law as it is traditionally understood, as it is written. He’s telling the truth about law under Trumpism: you only have a right if they deign to acknowledge it; you have no right to do anything they don’t want you to do.
Kash Patel: "You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have a right to break the law." (Pretti was carrying a gun legally.)

He’s correct, it’s not, the party’s end game is also deporting a ton of U.S. citizens too
Per Jake Sherman, Gov. Stitt continued: "We have to enforce federal laws, but we need to know, what is the endgame? And I don't think it's to deport every single non-U.S. citizen."
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) on CNN: “I think the death of Americans, what we're seeing on TV, it's causing deep concerns over federal tactics and accountability. Americans don't like what they're seeing right now. … [Trump’s] getting bad advice right now.”

Bovino, as required for a Trump Administration job, is a shameless liar. What’s scarier than that is perhaps 25 to 35% of the nation are totalitarian-souled bootlickers eager to believe him. How do you make a nation out of people like that?
BOVINO: He was in the scene actively impeding and assaulting law enforceme--

BASH: But he wasn't impeding. He was filming, which is a legal thing to do in the United States

BOVINO: Dana, let's not free frame adjudicate this now

The Nazi SA - Sturmabteilung, or Storm Troopers - were often recruited from the dregs of society: barely literate failures incapable of holding down a job and only fit for murder and terror. The scum of Germany. Hitler gave them free rein to vent their rage on their betters. Sound familiar, America?

It is not an exaggeration at all - at all - to compare this to how segregationist terrorists would murder peaceful civil rights activists and then their political and civilian allies would immediately laugh about it.

It’s the exact same moral and policy cadence
