Look something up on Wikipedia. Go to the little citation. Follow it. Read the article it's referencing. Follow links to the original interview. Read the paper written by the interviewee

It genuinely makes you appreciate journalism

My post history is a pretty good indication that I'm someone that's broadly skeptical of violence as a means to achieve positive political aims.

So that in mind: I fucking hate how legal evils that immiserate and kill millions are seen as less disruptive than those who set out to kill them

Douthat writes that 2024, when Harris lost by 1.5% of the popular vote, was "an ideological referendum and progressivism lost." I wonder why he didn't view the 2020 election, when Trump lost by 4.5% of the popular vote, as a far more significant loss for conservatism.

Every now and then I think about the fact that The Art of War and The Prince were both more or less written in order to beg rich failsons to ruin as few lives as possible.

And they have enduringly been classics among rich failsons who go on to ruin countless lives for the sake of their egos.

Closest I came to any "edgy" political alignment was being skeptical of the validity of nonbinary identities in junior/senior year of college and to quote my dumb ass back then "pfft if what they're saying is true then I'M nonbinary."

Genuinely if anyone in my life had a "nazi phase" I never found out or they did that shit after I broke ties.

Even at my edgiest, I was laughing at gore vids of people doing stupid shit and catching consequences or trading fucked up offensive barbs, not advocating for ethnic cleansing.
