i try not to talk abt this stuff too much but if you are thinking of contributing to indie animation projects on crowfunding sites id really be cautious and look into the background of anybody working on it

Greta was stripped and had soldiers film themselves with her while Israel's far-right minister Ben-Gvir screamed at her. Absolutely degrading sexual abuse and the Swedish foreign minister's reaction is essentially "she asked for it".
Aftonbladet's interview with Greta Thunberg is now available in English - it raises many serious questions, not least about the Swedish govt. effectively abandoning its citizens to torture because it doesn't agree with their politics. A thundering disgrace.

Personalized media kills the one thing that's actually powerful about experiencing art: sharing that experience with other people.

This is Thatcher's "there is no such thing as society" dressed up in dragons and pinups.

Like. Sometimes as a kid you have friends that come from conservative families but also you’re like. Twelve. you don’t see the warning signs that they believe the same things. And then the elections come around and you hear things from them that make you go “who are you were you always like this”

Ian is based on realizing someone you considered a childhood friend has not just gone down the conservative pipeline but has in fact always been that way and only just now do you have the capacity to realize it.
Also people probably shouldn't use that word to replace "Oc" in "October", especially considering October's UK Black History Month.
I'm okay with the word spooky because it has a specific meaning and of course context clues are key, but I must admit I wince when I see the word "spook." In another generation, it was a racial slur used against Black people. Though the Tuskegee airmen reclaimed it as the Spookwaffe, which is cool

"Ladies and Gentlemen" old school, supports the gender binary, not gender neutral

"Comrades!" Gender neutral, used to signal you want to overthrow the shackles of capitalism

On the surface, Dracula is a novel about a Slavic sex machine who travels to England to defile the country's white women. In subtext, it's about how much Bram Stoker wants to kiss Walt Whitman on the mouth.
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

White Americans butchered and cannibalized black slaves well into the 19th century, Germans were eating human blood until 1908, and europeans ate the bodies of egyptian mummies until they fucking RAN OUT of them in the 20th century.

Cannibals and illiterates indeed.
We're they just paying attention to the Muppets being on TV in that one bit of American Werewolf?

I like to throw in something bizarre and experimental in the first few chapters to clear out anyone who thinks every difference of opinion is a "plot hole." I mostly do it for myself but I like to think that somewhere out there, a reader I don't like is having a bad time.
you have to kill the devil's advocate in your brain when you're writing, you have to smother the imaginary bad faith reader that lives in your head. Trying to please the voice that tells you the person reading your work is ignorant/malicious is a mind-killer. There are better ways to create cohesion

The members of Goblin. This would be a much better country if we celebrated Goblin Day every October rather than Columbus Day.

as I've said many times, Columbus was such a monster that even his contemporary settler colonialist genocidal monsters were like "dude what the FUCK"
Christopher Columbus was dragged back to Spain in chains by a crusading knight, convicted of tyranny and immeasurable cruelty, pardoned by Isabella but banned from returning to Hispaniola.

Fuck Columbus.

The results speak for themselves, don't you reckon? ^_^
Sagittaria Pondleton, a 20 year old duck anthro of golden hair and heart, flexes her muscles while holding a shotgun in her left hand. She's always ready for action! Sagittaria, a 20 year old duck anthro of golden hair and heart, carefully sneaks along a barren dirt field beneath two moons. Gun in hand an army helmet atop her head, she's ready for any sudden action. Penelope Cerulea, an anthro duck aged 21. Lanky, skittish and without any pep in her step. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk-O... This video makes me wonder if I should have done something similar with the premise of this poem. The video but instead of talking about episodes of an existant cartoon, they talk about episodes of a non-existant cartoon.
Oh how often I've stayed awake pondering on the quality of my work and if I'm being honest with it. So yeah, if you're worried people don't relate to Chris and Jenny, there you go.
