Y’all I am by no means saying you should stop discovering new music 😭 I’m simply suggesting being intentional about which albums you listen to. Don’t just let an algorithm make a playlist for you. Buy a damn cd/tape/vinyl. Listen so much that you want the t shirt

I genuinely believe it is best to enjoy less music. Re-listening to one of my favorite albums will always take priority over discovering new music. Streaming has normalized the over-consumption of music to the point that most people listen to things once and never again.

Getting round to The Haunting (1963), and it's surprisingly effective in using 60s movie tech to its fullest in creating atmosphere, suspense, and some genuinely unsettling scenes. I tend to find ghost stories scarier than most other kinds of horror, don't know why, but even so, it's very well made.

Sam Reid is, quite literally, devouring the role of Lestat. I remember watching the Tom Cruise film back in 2010/11 because my sister had had either the poster or the VHS and that image had always intrigued me, but I left the film feeling dissatisfied. This is much meatier. Much more seductive.
