The best art is made for the self. It’s the very act of making art that itself is the gift to the world.
Make art that you think is fuckin sick as hell. Make the shit you never thought you could that you always wanted to see. Beat your insecurity to death and fight to become your own favorite artist.
This man has done photo shoots wearing Nazi regalia, he loves his job as Trump’s Beast Rabban.
I think the true terror is that a smidge of life improvement might cause the thing they lie awake at night terrified by: anti-oligarch momentum
Extremely blatant way of saying, “I love tear gassing asthmatic children in the suburbs”
Border Patrol Chief Bovino exited the federal courthouse in Chicago today, facing questions over his use of tear gas in communities despite a federal ban without justification. Before leaving, he stood in the truck doorway, fist-pumped, and then placed a CS grenade on the dashboard.

Taking away the ability of the country’s economic workhorse to go anywhere, this saber-rattling is so dumb
Sean Duffy: "I'm about to pull $160 million from California, and as we pull more money we also have the option of pulling California's ability to issue commercial driver's licenses."

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

This is normal post stroke follow up, sometimes on a 30 - 60 - 90 day schedule.

You get an MRI for post stroke because you’re measuring infarcted tissue, which is not evident on CT scan.

He’s exhibiting something called recrudescence, or a reemergence of symptoms after the initial stroke.
Reporter: Did you get an MRI?

Trump: I did. I got an MRI. It was perfect. Yeah…  nobody has given you reports like I have given you. The doctors said some of the best reports they have ever seen.

When he says “hit it, Joe”, I don’t think first time viewers are going to be prepared for just how hard Joe hits it.
makes me weep to think of the gifts robbed from us because unaffordable housing has made it difficult for people to pursue their passions and hobbies

reading slaughterhouse 5 for the first time and i was absolutely knocked senseless by this passage, which is so true and relevant that it feels like it was pulled from a history book
I read the Defector article about her and I think Olivia might genuinely be in crisis.

Imagine writing what is now widely considered to be one of the evilest pieces of journalism ever crafted & then crashing out publicly from the realization: this is it, this is the thing that will haunt me forever

I think people are mistaken in saying "oh no, people will starve!" and I don't think that's what is going to happen at all. People will eat. But a lot of rent and car payments and other things will go unpaid, and then we'll all find out it isn't only poor people living "paycheck to paycheck."
I’d give anything to be able to walk that artistic line of fun popular joyful entertainment that also cleverly attacks a humongously foundational mainstream thing
Best thing about Sinners is the somewhat subtle and then extremely-blatant-once-you-see-it message of the vampirism of religion.

“Again and again we were told the only way to beat the Republican Party was to become the Republican Party […] and the choice that we made was to stop listening to those experts and to start listening to you”

Mamdani is so good at this
I’m terrified about finding out more about her including the very likely possibility that she has spent some serious time with Donald’s dick in her mouth

SNAP is probably the most effective federal dollar we spend in terms of long term domestic economic outcomes.

that isn’t why you should support it; you should support it because it is a moral imperative to feed the hungry.

but it’s why even a growth-oriented ghoul shouldn’t oppose it.
