Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

Mutual aid request. Met Tasha while doing grocery deliveries and she’s living in her car in the Minnesota cold. Collecting warm gear for her and basic supplies to share with others on street corners. If you can help with warm clothing blankets hand warmers or small donations DM me.

Yesterday, Block Club reported that the feds have said no more prayer outside the facility which is of course not something they can demand or enforce.
A group of more than ten people detained today somewhere in Chicagoland were brought to the Broadview ICE facility around 12:40 PM, lined up outside a white van, with some zip-tied and several wearing lime green jackets with a partially visible logo.

It wasn’t a targeted raid for a particular person. Border Patrol went room to room looking for day care workers
They were trying to kidnap people to whom children—some under 2 y/o—had bonded. The people who made the children feel protected, feel safe

Yesterday evening, around 6 pm on November 3rd, a last-minute vigil and art installation was held in Rogers Park near a Subway drop-off spot after another traumatic day with at least ten people reportedly taken by ICE across Chicagoland.

Yesterday evening, around 6 pm on November 3rd, a last-minute vigil and art installation was held in Rogers Park near a Subway drop-off spot after another traumatic day with at least ten people reportedly taken by ICE across Chicagoland.
On Nov 4 around noon, Border Patrol was at a Walmart in Skokie, IL. One person was briefly detained before agents headed north on I‑94 around 12:35 pm. Community patrols continue working around the clock to protect their neighbors.

On Halloween in Little Village, Chicago, families went trick-or-treating along 26th Street while volunteers patrolled in green vests with whistles to keep kids safe. ICE and Border Patrol actions keep communities on high alert, but residents remain resilient.

Hundreds gathered for Mass on Nov 1 outside the Broadview ICE facility in solidarity with those detained. As it took place, buses left carrying people likely to the airport. Clergy with CSPL followed all protocols to bring communion inside but were denied entry.

Mass is being held outside of the Broadview ICE facility good morning I hope November 1st. They requested access to provide communion to those detained inside though it's been denied they will still try after their Mass service.
