It is propaganda for the left to accurately report on the propaganda for the right.
Yes, if a news outlet reports that the president posted a video in which he shits on the American people — if they merely describe what he posted — that is the same as “propaganda for the left.”
Wrong -- they're staying away from it, because of its offensive nature. Do NOT expect @cnn.com and @msnbc.com to become propaganda mouthpieces for the left, the way @foxnews.com.web.brid.gy is for the right.

I think it would be worthwhile to have a judge, panel, and SCOTUS say out loud that no one has standing to sue to prevent the destruction of the White House by the President.

I agree. Make the courts say it. "Gosh, whaddayknow, yet another circumstance where no person, entity, city, or state can enforce the law, the President does whatever he wants despite explicit instruction in the Constitution he follow the law."

every nyt politics reporter is the guy who says "I'm the most left wing person I know, HOWEVER..."
this is accurate along multiple dimensions

they’re getting dumber and more right wing but they are now smarter and more left wing in comparison to the people they see on twitter all day (stupid nazis) which also leads them to be even more prone to dismissing criticism from the left
twitter is making mainstream reporters dumber, and because they're all getting dumber together, none of them can recognize it and they actually think they're getting smarter

"The irony was hard to ignore when, just days after she texted me, Halligan reportedly fired two senior career prosecutors for supposedly 'leaking ‘unauthorized’ information to the press.'"

Yet another (albeit especially weird) case of this administration insisting--rules for thee but not for me.
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

Get in bitches we're going off the record
Everyone's focused on how idiotic Lindsey Halligan is, but don't sleep on the official response from Department of Justice spokeswoman Natalie Baldassarre.

It's just Mean Girls all the way down, if they'd written that script while huffing paint fumes.

Neither Patrick Fitzgerald nor Abbe Lowell are lawyers with a clear case of vindictive prosecution I'd want to give the opening to by advertising that I'm destroying the evidence they'd be entitled to if a judge awarded discovery.

Media outlets who refuse to describe in plain terms what the president did because they find it objectionable are lying to their audiences and running cover for the president. It's as simple as that.

Also worth noting that he wrote that poem to amuse his children while he was waiting in line at the bank, and now every day someone is trying to tell us that you need AI to tell your kids a story.

Skill issue.
learned recently that the guy who wrote "The Night Before Christmas," clement clarke moore, also wrote a takedown of thomas jefferson's proto-scientific racism in "Notes on the State of Virginia," basically accusing him and others of making it up to justify slavery. which, that's right.

Texans can no longer afford the state fair in Donald Trump's economy. Or they fear the secret police. Or both. Either way, this represents nearly a 20% DROP in attendance over last year.

Republicans have managed to kill a huge revenue source for the state and hundreds of businesses.
State Fair of Texas sees 400,000 drop in attendance compared to 2024, with cost cited as key factor by families
The 2025 State Fair of Texas drew about 2 million visitors, roughly 400,000 fewer than last year, as many families cited affordability concerns.

You’re not a democracy if you have a millions-strong subject population of inferior people with no rights, who you can displace, torture and mass murder as you please, with no legal limits. This is obvious on its face and basically impossible to miss, unless you are absolutely determined to do so.
Peston is aghast that @zackpolanski.bsky.social backs a sporting boycott of Israel, saying, its a democracy!

Israel has been engaged in a brutal occupation & apartheid for decades & denies millions under its control their basic civil rights. Was apartheid South Africa a democracy too?

it is also true that every journalist, if you tell them "you got something wrong" will want to know what that something is. and if you don't/can't tell them, they will assume you are unhappy the story exists, not that there are any factual errors

AS WELL THEY SHOULD
"Research has shown that, inside some companies, workers begin to see their colleagues who use generative AI as less creative, even less trustworthy."
Hi. I wrote an essay about AI slop: How it feels like an invasive species for the internet. How its boosters describe building a future that’s devoid of craft. How frictionlessness can be nihilistic & how this stuff seems to leach part of our shared humanity out of the world. I hope you'll read it.

"purity tests" "circular firing squad" "the left eat their own" are such bullshit phrases.

people disagree on politics! that's how it works.

deal with it instead of whining about marginalized people correctly pointing out that certain "compromises" only strengthens fascism

People saying "purity tests" usually want to make the coalition more pure for the sake of those who are comforted by purity. Back of the line, trans folks.

Likewise "big tent" almost always means people need to move out of the tent to center somebody who wouldn't have those types there.
